Because I have opinions on the share perhaps. I have stated I trade the share on several occasions and sentiment is a key metric to trading hence I am keen to keep up to date with the opinions of holders. As far as I am aware this is "Genedrive share chat" rather than the "Genedrive rampers chat". Indeed you will find you get a more balanced opinion if you have both traders and holders on here. Or are you only interested hearing what the usual ramping crew have to say?

I was looking to buy back at 80p. But given sentiment has really tailed off I am not going to bother even if it does drop that far. Im more than happy waiting for random spikes on no news and then shorting into them as long as sales news does not drop at the same time I see it as a pretty safe strategy. I have always said the SP will rise on news but right now I am predicting a spike to circa 180p and then a gradual drop again (another shorting target of mine). Of course my guess is as good as anybody else on here.

This is probably one of the most ironic thread titles I have seen on GDR. Looking at the last 2 months SP movement, its clear sentiment has already gone somewhere.

Safy. Its not what the government think that will increase the SP though is it. In order for the price to rise you need more buys than sells. If the general public are not demanding shares the price will not be moving north. Irrespective of government actions.

If thats the case then sentiment COULD return. But until the general public get more concerned about the virus I cant see it happening.

Yeah I agree. Whilst the GDR test might be a bit easier to use compared with existing tests, im not sure thats enough to find it a place in the market. I think there is a market for saliva tests that will provide a result in 10 minutes.

Will governments to be rushing to replace their current nasal tests with another nasal test? Sorry but im not convinced.

Whats all the excitement with FDA and WHO accreditations? If the test is so amazing why have they not secured any sales in Europe with the CE mark?

I think people are now sick to the back teeth of "buying opportunities". I suspect most would now rather see some selling opportunities.

People keep saying that "the virus is not going away". This gets repeated over and over but its not actually directly going to impact the share price. What you say? Well hear me out.

What is most relevant is market sentiment ie the desire for people to invest in this and other Covid stocks. In itself the virus being present does not directly impact the share price, the only thing that will directly increase the price is when there is greater demand for stock ie more buyers than sellers, whatever the underlying reason for this might be. We all suspect sales news will create this scenario though it seems some of us disagree to what extent.

Think back to the dot com bubble. There was a massive increase in sentiment for web companies and subsequently everybody wanted some of the action. As a direct result share prices went through the roof. Many of the companies that existed then still exist to this day, and yet despite growing as companies have seen their share price fall way back down relative to the early 2000s highs. Take a look at the share price chart of a company called Microstrategy. Ticker code NASDAQ: MSTR This is a good example.

They started up shortly before the dot com bubble and their chart shows the trading range of around $150 then due to the bubble they shot up to around $3000 a share. That was not based on earnings it was purely speculatory. Today they still exist and are still pulling in big revenues and their share price is sitting at $115.

That is the power of market sentiment.

This isnt going over 200p on sales news now, it just isnt. Sentiment isnt strong as it was back in April/May. Imo best you can hope for is 180p and thats with a following wind.

Away from my target price. I was called a deramper but its getting closer. Now 190p away from the £3 that keeps getting mentioned on here.

They have the CE mark. Plenty of countries accept that yet no reports of nsales. Why?

A month gone no sales and not a dickie bird about any countries that might be trialling the test. Dont think holders should be particulary excitied about being in over yet another weekend. If this drags into July I predict a further drift down to just over 100p. People see many stocks recovering and holding here for the last month has been at a large opportunity cost.
