This can very quickly look an excellent change in operating model, disposal of assets and improving margins against a very difficult backdrop. It IS turning around but the will obviously try to paint it as best they can.

Still amazes me Ashley could've bought this for pittance just for the sake of it and didn't. Each passing day is this company climbing back and solving the problems, PLT now incentivising credit on account to spend when returning goods which is just good business.

£1.80 is never on the horizon IMO. Hold on tight and reduce where you can, which I've said for months now. Somebody's buying before results too which explains the small rise this week prior to annoucement. Get rid of the final shorts and dispense of Burnley.

I'm not even sure what you and level5 disagree with SJ. Thinking America doesn't care that the cost of fuel at the pump, worldwide travel and more widely disposable income is going to hit them in one way or another doesn't really wash. Not to mention politically the "no more wars" chap has done nothing to earn the Fifa Peace Prize (lol). Either way, markets are spooked and as always we wait patiently for results. I've not had to make a decision here in months other than averaging down when some cash appears. Still a good long term play but of course there's thousands of better plays out there. If you do not believe in this stock or you've had your toes tickled, it's time to leave this messageboard either way, your losses will not just be financial but mental, and of course the most important commodity of all - time.

so the saviour of the shareholders is actively and aggressively working against this business. i've said it all along he wants this to fail and wants to pick it up for nothing, as per his previous behaviour over many examples. as has been said, there's nothing stopping the man buying this with his pocket change at a fair price. **** or get off the pot, support or go away. the winds are strong but adding weight and headwinds is abysmal form.

Always right to be cautious but at what point is it simply ignoring the evidence of your eyes and ears. This has turned a corner, the market will respond over time. I've always said patience is right. A few I work with have returned to buying from PLT from the likes of Shien due to quality issues, so anecdotally improved too, by their metrics. We continue.
