The total short position in EUA is absolutely tiny. There's nobody above 0.5% as that has to be declared. I'd be amazed if the total short position was any more than 1-2%, overwhelmingly made up of individuals who are short via a spreadbetting platform, such as myself.

The price is dropping because people are losing faith that a sale is actually going to happen. That's all.

I personally am amazed it's been allowed to drag out this long. I guess Covid is a catch-all excuse for everything nowadays!

The DFS is for WK, which is completely immaterial in terms of resources compared to the value being placed on MT. There's a maz of 300k-ish oz of mostly Pt at WK. That's completely immaterial in the context of a supposed £1bn+ sale.

EUA clearly will not go bust thanks to the £10m raised last year. That, however is a separate question from whether or not there will be sale which values the company at anything close to the current market cap. In my view there will not be.

I think you may be slightly confused. Those are (or were, I imagine they have turbo-dumped into the huge spike) the largest *holders* of GME stock.

He would not lose the options in a sale. Any sale would include all outstanding options and warrants.

What? Any buyer would be buying the entire issued share capital of the company, at the same price from all holders of the shares. Why on earth would they care who exactly holds those shares? There's no positive way to spin this.

Massive breach of the rules to not notify when as you say, the sale must have taken weeks at least, and "Dimitryreacts" explanation makes absolutely no sense. Why on earth would a buyer of EUA care about who exactly holds the shares that they are about to buy, unless they were refusing to sell at any price, which Churakov quite clearly wasn't. There is no positive way to spin this.

Given that he has obviously been dumping for weeks in clear violation of the notification rules, I doubt he cares much about such nicities. Have any other insiders been dumping without notifying is the question.

Expecting a bit of a bounce from 16 as the deal is still technically on. I reiterate my position that there will be no deal, however.

Any firm offers have to be RNSed per rule 2.2 of the Takeover Code, regardless of the opinion of the board. EUA have always been subject to Rule 2.2, whether under the FSP or not. There have therefore been no firm offers. This is indisputable.

2.2 WHEN AN ANNOUNCEMENT IS REQUIRED
An announcement is required:
(a) when a firm intention to make an offer is notified to the board of
the offeree company by or on behalf of an offeror, irrespective of the
attitude of the board to the offer;

It is a *fact* that there have been no firm offers in 15 months of the company being up for sale.

It is my *opinion* that there will be no sale and that the board will soften the blow with an announcement re the EPC. Where, exactly, is the lie?

Dunno why people are fixated on the DFS so much. It's just a matter of being signed off, and Russia is only just back from holiday. It'll get done soon. I do think people are going to be severely disappointed with the reaction, but the DFS itself will certainly come soon.

The most important question is what is going on with the FSP? Surely answers on that soon.

ARB has been my best ever share in % terms and probably will also be #1 in profit banked terms as long as it hits my limit order for my short term trade bought this morning. It's been an absolutely incredible ride! Just remember that the ultimate goal of trading/investing is to make money and not get emotionally attached.

Nah, my short positions are always pretty small, mainly because it's impossible to get borrow on most of the properly tempting ones. I do have a decent sized overall PF but it's overwhelmingly longs + cash. I realise I've been spending an utterly disproportionate amount of time on EUA!
