RE: Realistic view of near term share price25 Jul 2025 21:12
MMM - great question! One I've been pondering for the last week...
My thoughts currently are this, with the following current 3 guidelines in place. Note, I've come to these values using the current SP and the values the consensus seems to agree on.
1) EME will not add any more shares after the 1.25B added between now and the end of Q3.
2) The gas won't start piping until early to mid 2027 so we won't hit anywhere above 1.7p before then.
3) EME will sell off 3.5% and keep 5% of their stake to cover both a nice injection of easily accessible cash, and have a steady income over the next few years once gas starts pumping. Also I've assumed EME won't give out dividends from the money made in the sale.
So... let's assume a re-rate happens before anything else. An MCap of approximately £30m isn't an unreasonable expectation for where we are. We are currently at a £7.4M MCap today. So multiplying our current SP by 4 gives us an estimate of about 0.5-0.6p. I think that is a reasonable low end SP for the end of September assuming nothing else occurs.
Now let's assume EME sell 3.5% of of their stake. I'd assume they'd get approximately £40m for that if all 8.5% is worth £100M in a sale. This, in my opinion would raise the SP to about 0.7-0.8p. Again, we could see this by end of September. I see this as the most likely scenario if everything goes smoothly. That if does heavy lifting here as I'm being purposefully pessimistic.
Then if they sell it all... Once the sale is finalised, it'll jump to 1.4-1.6p. Again, it is plausible we'd see this by the end of September if this is the route taken, although I think this outcome is very unlikely.
Now when the gas starts pumping in 2027... I would expect a jump to 2-3p for a 5% stake as the money starts rolling in.
My exit price was 1p, although I might push that closer to 1.5p. That being said, if we hit 1p in September, I may well just sell out, take my x10 bagger and wish you all the best going forward. If I leave money on the table, so be it, I wouldn't regret my decision.
