I was delighted with the RNS - lot more acreage in under explored province for quite low cost.
The bit between Telfer and Haverion - was released by Newcrest in 2017 - and in that area, nobody will know more about geology than NC - so also think possibly strategic - unless CB and his team have an inkling of something.

I m no geologist, but like reading when I get time - I had already read that Telfer had no magnetic signature - as someone has already posted today - but some of the reefs were above ground. This is quite an old article about the geology.

Bu the history of Telfer is fascinating - discovered in 1970 (with interesting story about the now deceased French prospector who claimed to have discovered it but never pegged it out or staked his claim), they started with open pit, then found more as they went deeper, so then started drilling deeper, construction of a decline, deeper drilling then underground mining. It does make me wonder what else could be underground in the Paterson.

I consider the RNS today to be good news - and the 4% drop probably more related to gold price and GDXJ selling - no matter to me - long term play here.
Haverion will I think be bigger than Telfer - and let's hope we can find some more - even baby Haverions or Telfers would do us fine.

The Ridgeway ore body looks very similar to Haverion in shape, Haverion will be deeper. I also posted some time ago about how hard it was to find the Ridgeway ore body - NC did not give up - they had a inkling there was more there and kept drilling.
The more I looked at Cadia history and operations, the more confidence I had that in NCM we have a truly world class partner, and I have no worries about their ability to develop and mine Haverion.

I think the most intriguing thing still to be decided is how the Haverion Ore will be transported to Telfer - and this will be very hard to decide, mainly as we do not know how big Haverion is - and it might take us a few years more of drilling to find out. I just cannot see any negatives about the Haverion study - and even more confident today after the information shared by Bamps and Hydrogen.

Have not had time to watch the latest GGP help by Magic and Bottle about the Juri exploration results. Interesting they found telfer type mineralisation - did start a little reading about Telfer - article I read said Telfer has no magnetic/IP signature. Still need to do more reading on this - getting time is my problem.

Really disappointed to read some long term posters are leaving this board and others considering taking a break. There are several posters on here whose information and knowledge is hugely appreciated by many many people like me. I post occasionally but many lurkers who never post will also hugely appreciate the posts and sharing of knowledge.

During these past couple of months, I had to ignore Paddy’s sound advice and stop sitting on my hands.
But only to buy more GGP shares, averaging up. Then firmly back on hands.
I think eventually in time we will have a SP way above where it is now. Even if we end up with only Haverion.

Will not matter a jot to NC that they have got 70% cheap as chips when it comes to "fair value" for the other 5%. They will offer what they think is a fair price at the time - yes it could grow a lot - but there is risk there that it may not. So they may offer a price at which they are sure they can make their target profits (return on capital invested) - but only if they think that money could not make a better return invested elsewhere.

For GGP - they may be able to negotiate some sort of royalty if the resource size grows - but would be a hard sell to NC. So GGP will have to decide if the y accept a lowish offer for cash at the time of sale of 5% - and what that money would do for them.

If it could pay all capex costs and leave some for exploration or development of other assets - they may decide to take it - will be a complex calculation for both ides then a negotiation. On the plus side for GGP - raising required finance should not be hard for Haverion development - doing a raise or share issue for exploration funding would be better if our SP was higher.

Anyway - again even better than expected results from Haverion.
I recall Spy saying a year ago - we'd be surprised by what was underneath the ore body - he must have a good crystal ball.

Some of the long term posters on here, Paddy/Bamps/Hydrogen and others have been proven correct as far as I am concerned on how big Haverion will be. Patience - will take time until we are mining.

Thanks Bamps for the reply - and the cautionary warning about XTR - it's AIM and has all the AIM risks - but it could be shallow enough for open pit development - porphyry - and has the potential to be bigger than thought. I am watching it very carefully - I went in too late - on the fall from the first really speculative high - but went in just above a large placing price. It then retraced quite a bit - and I'm hopeful it will start to increase again, but depends on drill and assay results - and is many times more riskier an investment than GGP. Eyes are wide open.

Really look forward to seeing some presentations from Hydrogen/Magic et all on Black Hills.
It's still very early days there - I don't know anything about geology, and was encouraged by some knowledgeable posters on here posting encouraging thoughts about the initial drills - not so much from the numbers but by the mineralisation etc observed.

Although encouraged, I am still keeping my expectations realistic, exploration is not easy, and deep drilling is slow and expensive. Patience required, but Haverion also is more than enough reason to be here, with a lot of potential in Haverion area and our other tenements.

I bought my first GGP outside of ISA/SIPP on Friday. Had a bond maturing, so took some cash and put it here - the rest of the cash went away for 2 years at 1.55% - so hopefully will be easy beaten with GGP - but still cautious about putting too many eggs in one basket. Also took some more XTR - drill in ground, very speculative though.

Lets hope Haverion results this week have every reported drill still finding gold and copper - especially the ones outside of the ovoid.

TT - in terms of age you are maybe slightly ahead of me. I have recently entered my 6th decade.
Was also buying GGP recently, but on Thursday I sold some UFO at a decent profit - and plumped to use it to average down at XTR, where drill is in ground and I am underwater, but hopeful. GGP is by far my largest investment, including how much I have invested. I stopped buying at 7.5 in April 20 - thought I'd went in deep enough, then started buying again in Oct 20 and have bought from 19 up to 33.5 and back down to 17. Quite scary when I look - have invested 100k from Oct 20 - but my overall average is still 6.55, thanks to my earlier purchases.

Before GGP my biggest punt was in SML - I am well under there - and not sure I'll ever break even. Lifestyle BOD I think.
My first AIM foray was CNR - am up there and hopeful of more gains - but been long and painful at times - but good management team and Jim Mellon does not usually make mistakes.
Then I was off to TSX - NSUP - I know a major shareholder there - again been very painful at times - currently well ahead - and still hoping for much more.
I have a good bit in XTR, and much smaller bits in OMI, UFO,RMM, BZT and PALM - down in RMM and XTR but ahead or even in the others. I still have a bit in funds - many have done me very well over the years - much more success than fails.

My investments are for the family - I hope they come good.
GLA - I think of all my investments GGP is the least risky.

Bamps - some really dep holes there - that must be challenging and taking a long time to drill from surface?

Given they have truescan on site - they are not drilling that deep if not finding anything - you would think?

Had a look at AI - and the top MCAPS - GGP is at position 51 with Mcap of 649.2m. Largest mcaps in ain are just over or just below 4billion.

Impossible to find out for us mere mortals - but Hydrogen and those with access to Bloomberg Terminal say PI's own 80% plus of GGP stock.
The II's currently holding GGP are likely to be very specialist funds who invest in mining juniors, or other financial institutions who have departs that specialise in mining junior investment.

So in the short term - I suspect the GGP SP will be driven by the large amount of AIM PI's who trade stocks heavily - and cause large movement in AIM stock prices. It will go up and down.
Other large II's are not likely to get involved at this stage on the GGP journey - these are the II's who will buy and hold. They will only get involved once we are very close to producing Haverion. Only thing I could see changing this is a huge discovery - especially on 100% owned tenement - or Haverion becoming much larger.
With regard to Haverion - I believe it will become much larger - but this will take years - look at historical resource size at Telfer or Cadia - we have the mine - Telfer - and once there is more spare capacity - exploration will be stepped up to keep the mine at 100% - this could be in Haverion tenement or others - if we find anything.

I think Haverion will only give us good news. We cannot explore the depths really until we can drill from deeper - the current decline only saves us 420 m of drilling - which is great - but eventually I think they will drill from deeper down. I don't have any knowledge of this - but there are other experts here who will know. The current decline will go deeper at Haverion - or there will be a 2nd decline for underground mining.

Interestingly when I was looking at the largest AIM companies - saw Ideagen in the top 50 - software company I really fancied investing in a couple of years ago - but never - they have had a 150% increase since I first saw them. I also sold out of AGL (medical) to put money in here - and it has more than doubled since then and this has declined.

I am delighted i have been here for a good while, and will be staying here - sitting on my hands - but I now have a huge % of my ISA in AIM junior miners - this is largely die to GGP increase - but maybe I should start broadening my horizons again.

I still think we will see plenty volatility in GGP SP, and I still think the chances of finding another Haverion are slim - but really hoping I am wrong.

I think Calum Baxter deserves to make changes to his work/life balance - he left university in 2004, joined Greatland in 2007 - and is the guy who with GH led GGP to Haverion and secured other hopefully fruitful exploration tenements. He is also CEO/Chairman of Starvest - maybe I should have invested some there as well.
I am very happy so far with what I have seen from SD.

I also just topped up here today - took some profits on another aim share. My average is higher than current share price - managed to drop it a little to 5.6p - now have 26K invested here - enough for me. I was given confidence by CB buying more shares. Just checked and my purchase showing as a buy. Maybe should have put it in GGP - have large holding there - hoping good news here will give quicker gain. But it's risky.

Haverion - yes I also expect more positive news - but there has never been any negative news from Haverion drilling results. I do think if we have found more mineralisation and decent grades in new target areas - this would maker the Haverion news even better - but I am not convinced we will have a lot of information about this - but as Sandeep said - every drill finds minerlisation. One day we will have drills which don't find mineralisation, but won't be end as we will have to drill deeper once decline is finished.

The last time we have non Haverion drill results - with no mineralisation - Scallywag at turn of year - it started a large share price decline. This was because the share was overhyped with huge expectation of other Haverion type results - and expectation these were nailed on guaranteed.
I do worry some are seeing Juri JV targets as the same. Now nobody more than me hopes we find mineralisation on these targets - I have never sold a share and have continued buying. But my expectations are tempered with the research I have done showing how hard it is to strike gold or copper - and it often takes a lot of drilling over a long time period.
Even if we strike - it will need many more drill holes to indicate the potential size of mineralisation. Haverion - 8 rigs for well over a year - and we know it's big but not how big - nice problem to have.

Will negative exploration results at Juri impact SP - I hope not - I think we are priced now largely on the world class asset that is Haverion.

Slurm - like you - I wonder if the loss of the care tenements because of all the extra money used at LCCM will prove to be a mistake in the long term. The Care tenements are located in a highly prospective sought after - and very under explored area.

LCCM - I really hope they can make it come good - but the previous owner failed and so did SML - but only from existing tailings if I recall.
If our BOD are that poor - and our assets that good (Redmoor is quality asset - jury for me still out at LCCM) - we'd have been bought by another miner by now.

If the MM's have no stock, maybe the sharp 10% drop this morning was tree shake? I can see how many who are at end of tether here could be spooked into selling.
Must admit I am pretty close to cutting and running and taking a huge loss here - wish I had done it when we were at 0.9 but what's held me back is trying to shift 4m+ shares when there is no market will drop the price even further.

Burleigh - you are also correct about local politics and how quickly things can change.
I have worked the majority of my life in the oil and gas industry, mainly UK but have been abroad occasionally.
I have been quite "green" most of my life, and completely accept we need to move to a carbon neutral future - the whole world - but I think advanced western nations have to show the way - but this will take a lengthy transition period away from hydrocarbons.

I live in Scotland and quite dismayed about what's being said about the new oilfield west of Shetland, Cambo. Patrick Harvie and many others want to block development.
My guess if we do this is that instead of producing oil for UK needs - to be refined in the UK into not just petrol and diesel - but the other huge range of petroleum products the world has still to work out what to use instead - we will import oil which has been produced and refined in countries with less stringent environmental controls - and transport it thousands of miles to the UK in ships.
At the same time we will effectively be exporting jobs and tax receipts from high quality jobs.
Likewise we need natural gas to heat our homes - we will do for some time.
Dismayed at more effort is not going into better insulation of older properties. This will make transition away from natural gas easier. Many of the energy majors are now embracing this transition, and investing heavily in wind/solar, and carbon neutrality will be a huge factor in where they invest.
A lot of the politics is more about optics than real environmental benefit.
I also appreciate others may have differing views and opinions on this matter.

So fully appreciate how local politics can affect projects - and hence I am sure why SD is bigging up how "green" - effectively - development of haverion is using existing facilities at Telfer compared to a brand new greenfield development. One thing is sure - we will need to dig a lot of minerals out of the ground and from deeper than before to meet the needs of the changing carbon neutral world.

Most dismaying thing I have seen recently - space tourism by Branson and Bezos - should be halted IMHO. I am not on about space exploration - just tourism.

The first mining company I ever invested in was Condor Gold - CNR - in Nicaragua. I was taken there after watching a video from Jim Mellon raving about the potential of the company, and I invested in 2017 at 46p. Most recent investment this year at 52p when I thought things were looking really good. Luckily I kept faith and averaged down when SP hit 20p - so my average is 34 and we are now around 42.

Jurisdiction - I remember when SP was around 60p and I thought maybe take some profit - I never and political unrest flared in Nicaragua - and the went into deep decline - since then - been very careful for large investments in mining junior explorers which countries they were operating in. One of the reasons I was attracted to GGP.

CNR I almost feel emotionally attached to - which I know is a huge investment mistake. I keep thinking they will be a producer, having made the very long and hard transition from explorer to producer on their own, in 2- 3 years, and there are toll mining options, recent drilling has given better than expected results, will be low cost open pit and lot's more acreage with potential. But the upcoming elections in Nicaragua have me and I guess others nervous.

I have resisted so far, but been very tempted to sell some CNR and move the funds here - it's all about deciding which has most upside and weighing this against the potential risks.

But for me jurisdiction is very important, but many of the rare earth minerals this world will require are in countries with potential instability.

I am invested mainly in Australia and Canadian Miners. CNR being the exception.

Would NC buy out GGP - they undoubtedly could, but it would have to be a TO that was agreed with the GGP board I would say on friendly terms.
Why would they though - they will own 75% of Haverion - which will be a tier 1 mine - for literally peanuts - they have had a great JV deal there with GGP - $65million US for 70% of Haverion (granted they may have spent a little more than this).

Juri JV - for spend of $20m Aus - about $15M US - they have options to explore and own 75% of very attractive acreage - it's peanuts to them for a potential discovery.

If we hit big at Scallywag - which will be very difficult to achieve - finding mineralisation - is very hard - and if deep it's expensive - let alone finding a very large ore-body - but if Calum Baxter does it again at one of our 100% owned tenements - and this won't be quick or easy - then would be a much more attractive proposition for NC for district scale ownership around Telfer - but as Hydrogen has already stated - would have to be a very attractive offer that you could not refuse.

For now - I think the SP will languish around where it is - I am sure we are going to get more good news about the size of Haverion - it's going to be a very big ore body with eventually bulk underground mining IMO, but until we get near to or start producing from Hav - not sure the SP will grow too quickly.

Things that will change SP upwards more quickly, discovery on Juri or 100/% owned tenement - but even that is likely from first mineralisation to take at least a year of further drilling - and as GGP would not be a producer then we'd have to JV or do a placing to fund anything on the 100% owned tenements.

None of my mining stocks are doing well at the moment. All have performed very badly since start of 2021.
