Maybe a few facts..

Mining stocks started falling mid jan..since then on LSE the mining sector has fallen 18% (5% today). This is pretty true for BHP Rio tinto Anglo etc
Since this time solg has lost 5%...it's significantly out performed the mining sector mainly as news is due and the Ecuador court issues are pretty sorted...I
Selling and liquidity have not supported the drop..it's simply buyers holding off. All of this is normally a sign of a sharp rebound.

To be fair though world class stocks have been hit at 5-10% in the last few weeks...without news we've done well to stay up.
Across aim today lots of stocks at down 5-10%.
It looks like the market makers have decided to be bearish, offloaded any spare liquidity and dropped it down. Some good buying though particularly n the afternoon.

23 is major resistance, its the breakout of a channel its been in for months and i would be surprised if it was easily broken. We've had a gap up, now 2 attempts today. Maybe a 3rd attempt will break it.

CGP have released news today of "excellent" results from bramaderos.

This compares with a random drill I got from cascabel (first one found, not the best by miles) 582m @ 1.18% CuEq (0.64% Cu, 0.85g/t Au), incl.
Lets be 100% clear about this 0.1% copper is not economically viable, not even marginally, the gold is also uneconomical at that level as a standalone extraction).
If the best that CGP can manage at the moment then they are in deep trouble without us.

It's no coincidence that in a major mining platform on ecuador day, solg have been given top spot just before the Ecuador mining ministry speaks and closes...

It took 3 months for solg to fall in the summer from the possible constitutional issues, now that they have largely been put to bed it will take awhile to recovery back. Maybe 6 weeks.
Of course this doesn't inc any new news which might take it up.

It's about sustainability.
Locals benefiting.
Fair taxes for ecuador.
Water usage.
Power generation.
Land clearance
Deforestation
Pollution
Safety (tailings dams)

What it has done has flushed out traders. I would say consolidation at 22-23p particularly this afternoon before a push through the 23p resistance tomorrow.
Wed- Fri is the key timeframe for something a bit nicer and it will be nice to break 23p ready for that.

As to Climate Change of which I am in firm agreement with the science . I would happily argue this with folks on a climate change forum but it has no place in a share forum..

The truth is that with all the licenses and then multiple targets for each license and then drill licenses. Water licenses it would be rns s all the time.
Some drills will be used, some will use the downtime to refurbish them. Some will just be waiting.

It would be good to have a quarter update pack for each licence area but it is easier to hide results that arnt good.

I am not suggestion that there is anything bad.

Not much but you might pay 15m for the pea it's resale might be 100k....as an intangible asset. But it increases the value of the tangible asset as well by increasing its discounted npv. I have know companies buy these before. Normally old ones or for license areas next door as a basis.

It's really the only place you can put these intangible assets imo...

Just to add I've checked out a couple of other miners such as sav and they classify it as an purchase of intangible exploration asset. In the cashflow.

They buy the PEA JORC\resource estimate feasibility study even ALS results..
They are all counted as ,exploration and evaluation assets.
They are different to the resource itself..if we lost the resource we would still own these "assets' and could sell them on.
