RE: OPEC Withheld 1.3 Billion Barrels Of Oil To Prop Up Prices29 Jan 2021 08:03
I imagine the gas and oil is still flowing though and that they are still getting paid for it. Bit annoying that there hasn't been any news but could be a good buying opportunity today perhaps?
NewKOTB cheers for that. So around 450 mil sterling a year. I know a lot can happen between now and then but that makes SQZ a hell of a bargain at the mo. When you look at how much of UK electricity is generated by gas you realise how much longer we're going to need it and that's not including all the gas used in central heating. The other thing that I don't understand is they are talking about banning gas heating in new homes etc, but have you seen how expensive an electric kilowatt is compared to a gas kilowatt. It's around 5 to 6 times the price. Think of how many old people would die in winter from not being able to afford to heat their homes if they had to heat them with electric ? Doesn't bear thinking about.
I suppose being in Russia and Ukraine, they can make all the profit in the world, unless there is a way to get some of those profits to shareholders, the share price can languish all it wants.
Just googled MFDEVCO as you mentioned it and I can't see much about earnings or projects completed. Just vague aims and what they supposedly do with marginal fields. More of the same ? One way to make a living I suppose but I'm not sure sleeping at night would come easy.
Well who would have thought it ? Do you know if they ever produced anything at all ? Pretty impressive to achieve absolutely bu**er all over a decade if that's the case. If you look back through the fund raising RNS's, where did all the millions go?
Blimey still going I see. Was invested years ago back in the Enegi Oil days. Seem to remember a lot of jam tomorrow and dilution. Anyone know what their bopd is currently ? Assuming it must be quite reasonable considering the amount of shareholders cash and debt they've burnt through.

I'm in both Kistos and Serica so that would do me fine. Got in Kistos at 115p as a speculative punt so that's doing very well so far. Was also thinking that Parkmead would be a good fit for Kistos as well.
Had mine on the 18th Dec and I'm with Hargreaves Lansdown with the correct 15% deduction rather than the 30% that you get charged if you don't fill out some form.
Had a speculative punt here just before close of play. Been doing as much research as I can in the last few days and I can't see why the shares are so cheap. What am I missing here? What can the market see that I cant ?
To be fair I did average down yesterday and that's usually the kiss of death for any share, so to hold its price today is a small victory in some ways. Current average is around 5.6p so I don't reckon I should have too long to wait to see a bit of profit.
I'm here still. Wondering why rising oil and gas prices are having absolutely no effect on the share price. Have they stopped pumping in Canada or something ?
MrG yep as most of their production is hedged this could be a good buying opportunity if it keeps on dropping. Originally got in at 97p and was going to average up but luckily held off. A nice temporary dip to below a pound again would be lovely just so I can top up.
