Last time I looked we could still travel anywhere in Europe. If you want residency it's available, although 90 days is probably enough.
We are thankfully like the rest of the world now a 'third country' with regards to the EU, as indeed the EU are to us.

I don't know how old you are but as you've indicated here, you are in a fortunate position financially. I think the BB can therefore assume that the majority of your wealth has been accumulated under a Tory government. You should give thanks for that, unless of course you've inherited your assets. That being the case you have no idea of the value of a 'pound note' and are probably a champagne socialist, the worst kind.
But be mindful of the fact that you have enjoyed your privileged time along with a conservative government.
The only thing Blair made was misery and the whole country is still trying to rectify the damage that he and his cohorts have inflicted on our great nation. Alas, I fear along with many others that, that damage is irreparable.
