Here's a question for you jayfax, as you know by now what the country voted for.
What do you as a remainers want?
A) Remain a member of the EU and be and all it stands for with ever closer integration, i.e. possible EU army, common tax policy (VAT, corporation tax) in short a common tax policy for EU?
B) As we are not in the Eurozone, remain a member and be part of the so called two speed Europe and watch as laws/rules are made primarily for the benefit of eurozone members?
C) Leave?

And so it would be as we currently share exactly the same regulatory framework, however the protectionist EU can't seem to separate trade from free movement, not to mention the ECJ etc. In short they don't want us to leave, and as you know when one half of a negotiation is completely intransigent the best course of action is to walk away.

You don't seem to get it, we don't want more integration, we don't want to be an offshore state of some sort of ungovernable Europe stumbling from one crisis to the next.
Trade deal or no trade deal, we are better than that.

It seems Brexit Britain is bowling along with impressive and better than expected 0.4% growth, double the rate of the first quarter, despite the noticeable ramp up in continuity project fear’s dire no-deal warnings. Meanwhile the Eurozone grew on average by 0.3%, and France by just 0.2%. It’s a good job we aren’t into the Eurozone…..just saying.

I/we were not discussing the merits or not of Trumps action, for you it was all about the strength and ability of the EU to stand up to the US.
At the time this was first announced you were saying because the EU were against this it will have no effect on international companies based in the EU. Just accept your mistake and move on.

European firms have been instructed that they should not comply with demands from the White House for them to drop all business with Iran. Those who decide to pull out because of US sanctions will need to be granted authorisation from the European commission, without which they face the risk of being sued by EU member states.
I trust Daimler have been authorised by the EU to proceed.

Just another example jayfax....remember when you were emphatic that your beloved EU would stand up to and exploit the opportunities created when US introduced sanctions on Iran.
You said at the time how good it was to have the collective force of the EU nation's making their own decisions and how European companies would benefit from this. And I might add another example how the UK would miss out on these "opportunities" oh dear.

German car and truck manufacturer Daimler on Tuesday said it has dropped plans to expand its Iran business in reaction to renewed U.S. sanctions, which come into effect on Tuesday.

"We have ceased our already restricted activities in Iran in accordance with the applicable sanctions", Daimler told Reuters in a statement.

In early 2016, Daimler established a joint venture with Iranian vehicle manufacturer and dealer Iran Khodro Co to make and distribute Mercedes-Benz trucks in the country.
Daimler had planned to open a representative office in Teheran. It the statement, Daimler states that as for now, neither its car-related nor truck-related activities in Iran had been resumed.

I haven't got a problem with UK democracy per se, it's the European version I don't like.
You however prefer the latter and like it or not you are in the minority.

Jayfax you sure do have a strange grasp on the meaning of democracy.

Is it just your belief that the UK would be a better place if everyone shared your views, well they don't so you'd better get used to it.
The sooner you accept the result the better it will be for your wellbeing.

That's what you get when you leave the juniors in charge. 1.4 million, they're keeping a team, together with the necessary office space etc just for the buybacks. The people who own the company, us, have no idea how much this is costing. Whatever happened to transparency.
