I was wondering about posters on here and how many Lloyds trades they have made since the beginning of the year.
There was a time when I used to trade this quite regularly and in doing so increase my holding, albeit slowly. That doesn't happen anymore.
So far this year I've only made 3 Lloy trades, 1 buy and 2 sells. I must add the buy was made leaving the pub after a lunchtime session, just saying.

I wonder if they are the same merchants that are predicting the cliff edge fall after March 2019 🙄

I'm well acquainted with the beast of Bolsover I have relations in his constituency. Personally I thought the poll tax was a great idea, replacing the rates as it was then. Why should the homeowner shoulder all the costs for local amenities everyone uses them.
If you asked council tenants at that time how much rates they were paying the majority couldn't tell you it was all bound up in with the rent. But they understood the poll tax because they were accountable wether your name was on the mortgage or you were the tenant or the lodger.

Britain's Lloyds Banking Group will raise interest rates on a number of its fixed and variable rate savings accounts at the end of August, a spokeswoman said on Monday.

The move follows the Bank of England's decision to raise interest rates above their financial crisis lows earlier this month, with Lloyds the first of Britain's big four lenders to confirm it will pass the move on to savers.

The bank's decision includes rate rises of 0.5 percent on Individual Savings Accounts (ISA)and 0.7 percent on fixed rate accounts, in a change the spokeswoman said would affect millions of savers.
I believe the rate for borrowers has already raised, no surprises there then.

Lloyds hasn't done much for the last two years and been in a downturn since end Jan, it doesn't take an expert to state the obvious, the rest is as usual on these BB's and anywhere else for that matter, pure speculation.
