RE: Humanitarian approach.26 Jun 2022 20:08
Enjoyable session and an impromptu meal with a few muckers down the juicer and what do I read.
More of the same, attacking the UK's immigration policies but no condemnation of the Spanish actions other than just the one comment, "it's a tragedy." Yes, a man made tragedy, caused by an uncaring EU state with absolutely no answers. And you wonder why so many immigrants express unhappiness at the way they are being treated in France.
This action is akin to the royal navy sinking dinghy's mid channel, I wonder if you would call that a tragedy!
Our humanitarian approach is to rescue boats and bring them safely to the shore, not shoot them as they enter UK waters.
We currently have several schemes in place to facilitate immigrants wanting to settle here including the following -
The Mandate Resettlement Scheme
The Refugee Family Reunion
The Community Sponsorship Scheme.
The UK Resettlement Scheme.
Plus many other safe routes that are country-specific.
All we get in the way of answers is the constant criticism and judgemental rhetoric which does nothing but support the human smugglers in their illegal trade. I hope you're proud of yourselves.
Under the guise of caring individuals your mission is entirely political, you poor misguided fools, you have no answers, just name calling and ideological labeling. Just one more reason your political affiliation is in opposition. Until you lot can up with something tangible, best you keep quiet, or as Brixton said "put a sock in it" you're beginning to embarrass yourselves.
