Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Get them open in Dec! Never mind the under 35's... Myself, friends and colleagues are mostly in a higher age bracket than that and want to return to to cinema ASAP. Many of them have had the Unlimited cards too.
I'd personally love to see them open up and screen Tenet again. Saw it first time round and thoroughly enjoyed it. I wanted to go see it again but time didn't allow. There will be many others who didn't get to see it first time round, or like me wanting to see it again. Then get showing WW 1984 and the smaller films . Get the doors open, build more confidence, Get the tills ringing!
"What kind of investor simply denies the existence of any risk/downside? People here are weird."
Don't think any of us with a vested interest in this stock (i.e.-: Invested) deny the existence of any risk. That would be foolish. Its just we are comfortable and confident the rewards will outweigh the risks. The risk will always be there with any stock, y'know what though?... be pretty f***ing boring without any risk in life.
You are right in that I'm weird though...i think I'm a Dove.
That's what I'm seeing....
@ Bovey... yes it's great isn't it?! Lose a certain person and not only his posts vanish, but all the responses to them do too.
The board is a better place for it., having not to filter through the crap.
Morning @Drifty69 - my Email to LSEG did bounce back a third time so don't know what the issue is? It takes a few hrs to get the failed notification which is unusual. I'll try to sort it out later.
However my Email to the FCA got an automated response that it was received.
Hi - the message I get is ...'Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up'.
Normally if an Email won't deliver I get a message within a few minutes, however its a couple hrs later when I get this?
I have retried again using - rulesandcompliance@lseg.com
I've sent other Emails today with no problem, so not sure why this would be.
Hi ... my Email to the LSE regarding Athanor fails to get delivered? I have tried twice now, can someone confirm this is the correct email address please -
RulesAndCompliance@lseg.com
Thanks @Drifty69... I will use that and email now.
Hi all - its been a while since I've posted on here... or indeed paid that much attention, due to the unduly negative posts by certain people and the responses they crave. It's been refreshing to read the very recent posts that contain useful info for someone as inexperienced as me. A more balanced tone has been set and hope it continues. Yes - we have to accept the negatives as well as the positives, when presented in a constructive manner.
Anyway... I'm not going to pretend I understand all the business of not disclosing shorts. So should I also email the LSEG Team, as I am invested with Cine with just over 80K shares held?
If i were to email them, would the simple statement I've plagiarised from NOFEAR be sufficient?...
'I'm a Cineworld shareholder and want to register my complaint that Athanor Capital LP have breached the UK Fca short selling regulations 2012 (SSR) by not disclosing a 0.55% short in Cine since the 5th August 2020 and only on the 3rd Nov they finally did so'.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Sham Us...
Sham definition is - a trick that deludes : hoax
Has this SP been inverted?... Feels more like Groundhog Day.
I'm going to learn to play the piano and come back in couple months.

@themuir01 ...
Before you comment on someone else's spelling ability... work on yours I reckon.
Watched Tenet in local Cine yesterday... Only 20 (ish) in the audience, however it was being screened every half hour in multiple screens. When I came out the foyer was busy... just an indication the appetite for cinema is still there, as most of us on here know.
I enjoyed the film & I'll go see it again... I found the whole time inversion thing easy enough to grasp but think some of the earlier & final scenes will make a bit more sense on a second viewing.
Like in Tenet this share price has been inverted.... but sooner or later it'll all make sense too.
This hasn't been a great year for me (nowhere near as bad as others I accept)....
I separated from my wife (OK... so not all bad!)
I got told my firm was closing and had redundancy hanging over me for couple months
I bought in way too high on Cine shares (although they looked like a bargain).
Now fast forward to this week...
I have a 3rd date lined up with a woman who is far smarter and hotter than my ex!
I have been told a subsidiary of my company is being bought out... my job is secure (for now).
Cine shares are on a steady rise.... not quite where I want them to be yet but as I've stated here... things can change dramatically in a very short space of time.
I woke with high spirits and the thought of 70p+ being reached... it was great to read posts with researched facts backing up my wild expectations.
If the share price ends up dipping slightly just remember though.... my date is really hot.
Great... go watch it again.... get the tills ringing. Hopefully everyone else will be of the same opinion too.
As Nolan has said..."don't try to understand it".... a great way to view the Cine SP too!
Yes... there was Tom, his team of security, publicists, stylists, and ladder carrier!.... and media.
I'm in similar situation in that I don't know all the in's and out's, however I have bought & sold various shares over the years that I have a basic understanding of the business involved.. Tesco for example.
I am not going to get rich from my investment pot, however I have paid for several holidays and cars over the years from my profits. So best advice I can give is follow your own instincts - I enjoy reading all the posts on here... some have great founded information and some are just plain daft. I won't be influenced in my decisions by ANY of them though.
I'm in for the long haul up... you do want you want to do... don't listen to me (or them).
"I've had it with these mother****in' Shorters on this mother****in' plane"
Agree fully. The desire to get out and enjoy everything we have taken for granted is high again... The demand for the cinema experience is, and always will be, high.
I work with several people who have the Unlimited Cards... they, like me, all want to get back to watching films the way they were meant to be watched -on the big screen as soon as possible.
