Hi all, I have a question over the scrip dividend....My understanding is that for each share held we receive 2p, which is awarded by being given shares to that value? Example... 1000 shares held x 2p = £20 worth of shares given? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My question is - would the example of £20 worth of shares be given on a particular day and reflect the share price at that time / day?
My thoughts are the lower the share price (on the given day) the more shares we receive for our £20 example?
Thanks in advance for any information.
Thanks latpulldown. What's your opinion on where this share price could go? Perhaps double or further?
Don't worry.... I won't invest based on your opinion, just interested to know, and anyone else's for that matter.
I'm mainly invested in Cine but looking to invest in something with a more appealing entry price again.
OK Thanks latpulldown. What's your opinion on where this share price could go? Perhaps double or further?

Most of my investment is with Cine, however looking now for something with a more appealing entry price.
Hello all - my first time posting on this board as I'm just looking around to invest. (This stock has been mentioned on the Cine board).
My query is that looking on 3 different platforms at historical charts there seem to be 3 different sets of data, all over a 5 yr period?
LSE chart shows a high of circa 600 (pence?)
HL (who I trade with) shows a high of 50., however its currently at the 30 mark? GBp ....does the small p indicate pence?
Yahoo finance shows a high of 268? Again GBp.
I'm confused! Does anyone know if I'm being a complete idiot and missing something obvious, or have an explanation to which (if any) is correct please?
'am I missing something'
yes you are!
Thanks M00la - it made sense re-reading the statement again, Thanks for your patience :)
"The price could rise even further if additional companies are interested in acquiring Y. However, the X share price could initially fall if investors are unconvinced about the strategic value of the merger. After the companies merge, Y shareholders will receive $22 for each share they hold and Y shares will stop trading".
Thanks for all the info regarding that.... just to clarify though.... where it states shareholders could receive X amount for each share they hold - is that a sweetener? They still retain their shares?
Evening guys,
"Quick question from a noob. As mentioned previously I have shares in Cine and intend to keep them for the foreseable future. I use trading 212, what happens to my shares in the event someone (Jangho) moves to take over? I mean do we get offered more per share? Not that I'll be complaining if it's the 1.80 or whatever the threshold is for the board to get their golden handshakes!"
I wanted to ask the same question.... couldn't find that anyone had answered this thread, so if anyone can enlighten us that would be appreciated.
BTW...In relation to trading platform issues, I have always used H & L and not had any problems. Seems each one can be problematic at some point.

Something strange is going on... after months of being red my investment changes colour occasionally, its a colour I don't recognise, after soooo long.....but I like it and hope it gets to be a permanent fixture :)
