@SharketMare
Well that rather depends on whether the market was pricing in the 25% or 30% ownership
Given that the market is forward looking (apparently), the win/retention of 20% (to 30% in total) remaining on the GGP books is much greater as value leverage once the market catches us up
Semantics indeed, but we’ll all be so grateful for the bit extra when the JV unpacks more and more gold, copper, and maybe Ni when the 5% ‘gain’ becomes hugely more valuable.
The difference between a Porsche and a Lamborghini to put it in mining and exploration language
Great post JerrySpaniel
Things have turned
Shaun in the van
Sandeep a bit cagey, wants still to be the man
A bit like judo
With feinting and throwing
Players playing poker, cards not showing
Entering times now of mystery and hope
With mine plans and scope
To make money
There’s fun to be had
A good day, not bad
And months ahead when we’ll be happy, not sad
Forza GGP!
@Strudel
Plenty to celebrate - I believe that either for yours on the 20th or ours on the 11th will have new news to chew over
Good luck to the Stirling brothers and sisters from the Stroud area GGP kin
Invitation to GGP investor meeting - Meet the real BottleRocket (Liam)
Sunday 11 September - 2pm onwards - Stroud
Very happy to share the news that Liam is joining GGP investors for a Sunday afternoon gathering. We should have the next set of GGP results by then and with all the positive stuff going on with the company we have lots to talk about, and with Liam we have someone with a direct line to the Greatland boss.
The meeting is on Sunday 11 September at the Fromebridge Mill pub, Fromebridge Lane, Whitminster, GL2 7PB. It’s easy by car. Take the exit for M5 Stroud Junction 13 and it’s about 3 minutes from the motorway exit. It’s handy for those in the south Mids, Bristol, S Wales,
Plan is :
Arrive whenever you want and grab a drink, have a natter. We have a private room to avoid the busy Sunday lunch trade. It’s designed to be a fluid and friendly get-together. Beer and food available to buy of course - it’s a pub !
Please confirm if you’re coming , and with whom, by replying only by e mail so I can keep track. I’ll only get to e mails a couple of times a day so don’t be concerned if you don’t get an instant acknowledgement.

NB if you say you are coming on the chat board I will probably miss it ! Please use the e mail :) all identities remain confidential.

Bamps, your point about Shaun’s engagement with shareholders.
If we just look at this all from his perspective he has just been in a room full of people who are full of curiosity, energy, and diligence about how this company succeeds. Just put yourself in his shoes this morning - he too must be buzzing, and for all the smart work that he is taking on he will feel very motivated by our appreciation of his efforts.
And the the feeling that this “is a beast” is quite a statement. First it was an elephant. Now it’s a bigger, more muscular and dynamic creature with a size that can’t be described adequately.
A motivating visit so far, with possibly more announcements whilst he isn’t in the UK. Very nice.
Oooh, only 3.5 trading days til he speaks or 3 to a poss RNS ?
How many days to cover the shorts was it ?
Between 3 and 4 ?
Hmmmm. Roll on 14 July. Bastille Day. Traditional to chop the heads off with a guillotine.
Lovely ;)
Thought I’d come to the GGP board
Clearly it is for other purposes now
Come on mods, can you show the same diligence with the political topics now being discussed here to that you used when barring contributors on the topic of real GGP subject matter recently
You remember- around the time people started leaving because you stripped out whole threads on meaningful GGP info?
Gawd
@Tymers
Just the slightest bit miffed then?
Nobody ever thought this move would be necessary so you should, along with a number of others, take full credit for driving people away and generating the entrepreneurial approach that is upon us today.
Posters with bile, anger management issues, etc may struggle on a platform where the community moderates itself.
When you are talking the way you are I.e. with bile and in angry ways you may find the room empties. Maybe that happens to you in real life. What a shame, because a little openness, humility, community spirit, and constructively valuable input would make you welcome in more places.
This isn’t a test to empty LSE, far from it. It had been a brilliant board since I started following. But we see far too much disruption to remain under attack onLSE by a malign set of contributors.
People will decide for themselves. Choice is healthy. Why stay in an environment where it is unhealthy? Time for change. Time for a new approach. Time to get back to the old ways of a community informing and challenging in constructive ways.
When you are able to be all of those things then I’m sure you’d be welcome.
The GGP gang score well including an excellent first top ten form L-A. And look who snuck in at number 11. How ironic :)
