Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
You have proved noth8ng on these volumes.
We just have to wait for real news and stop pointless speculation.
...passes by with no communication whatsoever. Really poor investor management IMHO. How do they expect to get institutional investors excited with no information flow?
GLA for everyone who holds their nerve.
The frustrating thing is they are permitted to provide any updates they like so long as they abide by certain rules. If I were the CEO, I would have released a general update at the end of Feb that might only confirm what we already know, i.e. negotiations progressing on all fronts etc... but confirms they are still moving forward.
The level of comms from Char is pretty poor to say the least, especially when you consider the CFO's rhetoric a few months ago about lots of newsflow.
It is taking a real leap of faith to keep all my shares in this one.
Charts in the aim market generally are an utter waste of time. The whole market does not have enough liquidity.
They have huge value on the main markets though.
Folks,
Lets have a reality check. Every time there is the slightest movement we get all this ridiculous speculation that someone knows something. Whilst i love the optimism, may I remind you that it has been much higher than the current price in recent months with absolutely no news.
I would loved to be proved wrong in the next couple of weeks.
GLA
Folks,
We need a reality check here. These are not big buys, even £8k is not large for PI's
Regards,
KB,
The first news about Char to make me smile for a long time :)
KB,
I think we are only staying at these levels until the GSA is signed as that is the foundation of every other agreement leading to the FID. Without this, the value is pure conjecture because we have no means of getting the bloomin stuff out of the ground.
Where it would go on the back of the GSA is anyone's guess but I am hoping for 25-30p as a first step. Anything above that would be great and anything below would be very frustrating.
Thanks KB
Sorry folks but 0.4% of share capital and £600k investment is significant in Any AIM stock and a vote of confidence.
Of course, whether this is misplaced confidence or not is pure speculation.
GLA
Surety,
Could you paste the article in the chat as I am not an FT subscriber and this looks interesting.
thanks,
Big article in the daily mail financial section about Simandou and rio
Until the gsa is signed there is no basis for a financial agreement and therefore no project and no value. One step at a time with the gsa first. As I have said all along, these agreements with government take much longer than anyone ever imagines. The longest one I have been involved in took 3 years, which is excessive, but 6-12 months is not unusual.
The speculation is whether they will get over the first hurdle or not. If we belive the CEO who stated they have agreed a deal in principle, I would say they will, but I have been here before with the BoD of an AIM stock misleading investors and that is the element of doubt in my mind.

I need to caveat the next sentence with the statement that I do think this will come good and I am in this for the long term.
However, do I think this will see cash coming in at the end of 2024/early 2025? The chances of hitting this timeframe is somewhere between nil and negligible. Why do I say this?
1. Char misses every dealine they set
2. Contracts they are trying to negotiate ALWAYS take longer than expected
3. This is a two year project from FID to production which takes revenues to at least mid 2025
4. Large engineering projects always overrun
I would welcome any other views
GLA
Jimmy,
Thanks for this. All very insightful.
I am somewhat over exposed in Char and I am considering what my exit strategy might look like over the next 36 months. I am certainly all in until the FID but might offload a few less than planned afterwards. I will certainly keep the majority in until we see gas. I have been in char for nearly 10 years !
Thanks alot and GLA
Jimmy
Is there any risk that they would not be able to extract the gas?
Thanks
Jimmy,
Assuming all goes well and anchors gets the funding, what is your view regarding the project risks in order to actually get to the gas?
Any views from anyone else welcome as well
Thanks
RS
That thought made me smile more than the rise !
I wish ??
I was surprised I got a live quote though
that was mine and i am simply moving some into an isa plus a few extra. nothing to get excited about
