RE: Interims will be issued in the coming week16 Sep 2023 23:52
he has a degree in geology from liverpool university. and a master’s in petroleum geology at imperial college london.
as soon as he joined lasmo, he was posted to indonesia aged 26. for 20 years at lasmo, he worked on some of their biggest projects around the world. indonesia was lasmo’s most active area it saw a lot of exploratory drilling in the early 1980s. under his stewardship lasmo discovered the madura bd gas field in the madura strait, off east java, indonesia. the field is a major gas producer.
in the 1990s he moved to colombia, where he was acting exploration manager. he then relocated to vietnam, where as exploration manager, made 3 big discoveries.
then in 1997, buck and his family moved to libya, where he spent the next five years. he stayed on after eni acquired lasmo in 2001, taking a post as country manger in ****stan and then later in iran. i was a shareholder in lasmo at the time when it got taken over at a hefty premium by eni.
he left eni in 2006, when salamander energy head hunted him. he moved to singapore as the company’s chief operating officer, a position he held until 2015, when salamander was taken over by ophir energy.
he then did some consulting work for a while until petro matad came along in 2017.
in total he has over 35 years of experience in international exploration and production.
not if you think you can do better, which the way you are posting, implies you certainly can - apply for his job.... i'm sure the institutional holders will be falling over themselves to employ a bright spark arm chair exploration and negotiation guru like yourself.
get a grip and stop the whining. you may have been in this for 5 years or more and feeling very sore.. but not everyone is in the same boat.... so they dont want to be reading mundane housewife type whinging about being in a dud for 5 years .... ad infinitum. stop the repetitive whining - we get it, you are hurt, mike is a failed ceo blah blah blah... spare us the droning..
