I was out on deck yesterday evening and have to agree at times thought I was on a pirate ship full of mutineers. If someone had an opinion that caused some deep thinking he was pushed against the mast with a cutlass at his throat. Hopefully slept off the rim today ....

Your comments in general I believe are not without some good points and offer a sound base for discussion.
The big issue I see is the integration of Engines within the Airframe.
Currently (or previously pre Covid) airframers (plane makers)
like Boeing Airbus etc compete for business and then once secured the Engines become customers choice etc hence variation of RR PW and GE on AIrlines choice having chosen the Airframe. The Engines are not sold part and parcel with the Aircraft. Then you have long haul short haul etc. It is very complicated and not the way the current business is structured but well aware things change.

Not sure where this is going. It feels like a cross examination..... I am sure it’s not how it seems. No I have not made four times my initial investment since I have been in and out of this stock many times. I have certainly made profit for sure. I am In currently above this price but not worried. In terms of where do I think it’s going. Its going to climb again without doubt. The RNS was superb business is still good in spite of over 100 shops being closed and lots of new products licensing etc. This is not a Covid stock either. I note your comments re amount of investments also being 7. I think that’s not a problem it’s an advantage given the spread of risks etc. I also post on 4 or 5 other boards who I have a vested interest in.

Interesting. Am I missing something. BAE are bigger than RR and not in the business of making engines as far as I am aware. In fact they both often compete for the same supply base. The defence unit as you are aware is currently part and parcel of the total business of RR and as such rolled up in share value. The government cannot simply apply a strategy for such a thing. What about marine, Power, Nuclear, etc would the same rule apply.
I would have thought joint venture is the way to go on special projects. That way we are engaging with competitors and sharing risks. Big advantage also is sharing capital outlay.....
