Well it's up more than 15% from 0.36 recently, a good start with plenty of news to come. Don't think we will have to wait long. Costello are you being ironic? I don't want to make assumptions but notice last year KRS surged as drilling results came in. That was on 10,000 meters which they extended to 15,000 total. We are expecting 50,000 meters with the possibility of more according to the recent interview. I expect we will see the share price surge in the summer months.

Hopefully not too many invested here burnt their fingers with GGP, we all highlighted the bubble last week and now Newmont have popped it's already under 1p

ragnar - Point well made about the % of revenue increasingly coming from Pd and Rh now with the market prices rising much faster than Pt. We've yet to see Phoenix results added to the mix but assuming they are a same basket ratio I'd expect EBITDA to come in way above $2 million per month. It should be at that level for the Q2 results we are due in the next week or two as we turned $5.5 million EBITDA on 16,589 ounces and a basket price of just $1,028/oz. I'm thinking with production increases as scheduled and the basket priced the way it is we will be turning more than $2.5 million EBITDA each month. By the time Q4 results are released it could well be $3 million EBITDA every month! :) Palladium�s global market deficit is on track to reach 1.8 million ounces in 2018, up from 1.2 million this year according to Anton Berlin, head of strategic marketing at NN, that's a 50% increase in the annual deficit!

Wuffle - Norilsk are acting for the benefit of the major shareholders of course but their decision to buy physical palladium at market prices despite their quarterly output was a short term fix for shoring up supplies. By positioning themselves in the manner they have done they hold a stronger bargaining chip in the event of further panic buying believe the Russian state backed banks among other supplies are offloading supplies to Norilsk still, given the demand for palladium stockpiles. They aren't stockpiling these purchases according to recent NY Times and Reuter articles but then this course of action allows them to stockpile some of their own mined inventory.

USD weakness certainly contributing to what was a crazy day for commodities. Palladium up more than 4% closing at $1119/oz

ragnar - It's interesting you term it panic buying and other commentators call it speculative investing. I can't be sure what's driving people to buy, but it appears to be an ongoing trend and shows no sign of slowing. Palladium up more than 10% in the past month alone! Think we are seeing speculators sweeping up additional supply but that would be a short term thing normally and doesn't explain why there has been constant growth in the price since January 2016. This looks very much like large dealers shoring up supplies for customers. We know this was the reasons Norilsk Nickel began buying additional palladium on the market and I think others have caught on or are speculating because demand is strong.

Strong finish but even after UK markets have closed palladium has continued to march on to $1112 (3.3% up today)

Dunkelmann makes the point well that buying KRS shares at todays price is a much better value than buying CAI shares. We are the largest shareholder with 458 million shares (35.8%) so our stake in the company is of huge significance. I could see Novo competing for top shareholder position but they would need to stump up another $10m minimum. Perhaps that will happen later this year or early next year. Not bad for shareholders here either way as our stake in Calidus continues to improve in value so long as they continue to turn out outstanding drill results. At this stage the performance shares we have just earned are held in escrow meaning they cannot be sold or transferred yet. KRS have stated they intend to distribute this to shareholders. It's not clear how at this stage. Either they could offer to sell / transfer the CAI stock to an ASX listed broker and return cash to shareholders here but that would depress the CAI share price if it was handled poorly. I would be more than happy to open an account with ASX listed broker if required in order to receive a special dividend distribution. The other alternative is KRS take full control of the shares and seek a large investor to transfer their stock to for market price. Stock transfers like this happen prior to take overs and we could well see Novo gobble up CAI if KRS receive a price they are happy to part with. The drilling campaign - Calidus is currently conducting along-strike extensional drilling of approximately 3,760m at Klondyke, Fieldings Gully and Copenhagen prospects with results due in Q1 2018. - This drilling is being undertaken to test the direct extensions of the known deposits which will assist in defining final drill programmes for 2018. - In Q1 2018, Calidus will target deeper drilling at Klondyke to test high grade extensions of the orebody down-dip to a depth of up to 400m below surface. - Further strike definition drilling along strike of the published resources is planned to kick off early 2018 Q2 with the aim of increasing the resource base to in excess of one million ounces. - Parallel with this, initial scout drilling on some of the numerous high priority regional targets will be undertaken to examine the potential for higher grade satellite deposits that could form ore feed based on the assessment to of future development scenarios. - A Pre-Feasibility Study including optimisation, mine scheduling and metallurgical studies based on the new Resource plus planned extensions in 2018, is currently planned to commence late 2018 subject to the resource definition programme.

Likely you will get your head bitten off AND no clear answer which is all I received earlier. Indicated is a higher category where the drill spills are approx at 50m intervals. These are the basics to begin with. Ernest Giles has no resource currently. This is why so many are split on the potential value even if a deal is likely. It would have to be one almighty cash deal to justify the current market value of GGP. GLA if you choose to ride out GGP, beware the jackals over there if you do have questions

Jollifant - Comparing the past 12 months won't really help with the next 12. The only reason GGP has had a meteoric rise is the freak event of a major like Newmont showing interest. I'm willing to stick my neck out and suggest GGP is well overbought unless Newmont come in with a $50m offer or the likes. Otherwise how do you justify it's current market cap? I wouldn't say it's nothing but hype, they have been busy elsewhere using funds raised off the back of this interst and should probably conduct another placing at current levels to shore up cash for further drilling and in the event Newmont walk away. What will probably happen is they agree a JV if they like what they see and agree to spend X amount on the project. If that happens the share price will likely tank. Wait for Calidus to begin their drilling campaign and then the interest will pick up. 50,000 metres they plan this year thanks to Novo subscribing $10 million for a stake in this project.

Don't think enough people know about the potential. If they did they would surely see this merits a stronger punt than the likes of GGP which is riding high on a bubble of hot air

Hold onto your horses, commodities and miners are on the move!

Hi Dunkelmann, Appreciate that you've shared your figures with us, makes for pleasant reading. Do you happen to have a link to the Bell Potter note? As with all things market related it's impossible to find true value all of the time. We can try our best to gauge fair value but quite often it is the catalysts that are more important and looking for exits at exciting moments and entries at quiet times like now pays dividends. CAI haven't moved much recently but last summer jumped from 2 cents to more than 5 during the busy 15,000 meter drill campaign. With the company forecast to complete 50,000 meters this year, with results and updates released at regular intervals and gold now climbing toward $1350/oz excitement will build. There is the small chance Novo will bite and make an offer in which case I'm not sure if KRS would still be eligible for the PFS performance shares. But we would still have 458 million shares in CAI. If the offer was derisory I doubt it would get enough shareholder support, especially now Calidus have the funding for the upcoming drilling campaign. They should be able to more than double the resource estimate and double the Indicated resources within that.

Looked oversold a couple weeks back, no reason why it drifted as low as it did. The only reason I can see why there was such large selling would be an overhang following the HAYT acquisition. Perhaps a large shareholder wanted to cash in and take the loss on the chin? It doesn't look to have been a very smart move whatever the reason and now as you mention with the Interims due shortly plenty of attention is focused on AVG. We should be back to 2.4 - 2.5 following the first official news we've had in a long time. Expecting the debt issues which hungover HAYT throughout 2017 to have been addressed, banking covenants relaxed and the debt held significantly lower. The business will have grown throughout the second half of 2017 and AVG shareholders will no doubt benefit when they announce a strong outlook this year.

Haha well I can sleep easy regardless of their stance on the matter. Today the topic on their chatboard has been about the largest finds in the past decade and further to that what the value of a resource of say 19 million ounces at $90/oz would be worth to GGP shareholders today taking into account the number of shares in issue LOL Pure ramptastic rubbish ofcourse! But no doubt cementing their own assertions and easing fears about whether it's time to sell or hold. How how could GGP ever fund a 19 million ounce resource? It would require Newmonts involvement and years of drilling with multiple drills, a huge investment. GGP will probably raise cash soon given the interest surrounding the stock. The best case is for Newmont to maintain interest here but a lot needs to be proven before GGP merits a �75m market value IMO Perfect time to buy here whilst it's quiet

GGP is now valued at more than �70m yet no resource and very little to show fundamentally for the value meanwhile Calidus and KRS are still valued at ridiculous levels. There was a time when GGP was worth less than �2m. With gold riding higher and the intercepts being unveiled here superb this is my top tip for 2018. 50,000 metres of drilling planned this year! Expect more high grade, near surface finds and plenty of interest as gold moves towards $1350-1400/oz

Thanks for highlighting jr71, just watched the interview. That makes sense considering they are budgeting for a 50,000 meters of drilling this year! Compare this to the 15,000 meters drilled in the past 6 months to get the resource upgrade and that's quite a jump. I like the comments about news-flow and resource upgrades, potential catalysts for share price growth throughout the year. Novo's involvement in the financing and with their JV adds an additional element of intrigue, will they look to raise more cash later this year and Novo fund this?

My apologies I didn't convert AUD to GBP, the value of our shares today are closer to �11m which is still a premium to our market cap excluding any of our other projects. Calidus has not risen much since the updated resource statement nor the recent increase in the price of gold. Hopefully investors will begin to take stock as the company continues to build upon it's successes to date
