There seems virtually no chance of dilly imposing any deadline on the LOI, given the history of that aspect to date. investors need to draw their own inferences. just my opinion of course and not currently invested, but have followed this saga quite closely over the years.
Looks like we are starting to experience the beneficial effects of the interest rate turn.the monthly news letter for november is worth a quick read.
Evening bignose.yes it is a nice thought, but i wasn't really suggesting it as a possibility, merely a (rather poor) example of the magnitude of news which would necessitate a formal announcement in the close period.still you never know!
Afternoon dougie and bignose. no feedback here i'm afraid.agree with you bignose, that unlikely to hear anything now before annual report.i think strictly speaking, major news (e.g. takeover) would have to be announced regardless of closed period, but absent that, run of the mill news, if any, will be sat upon until then. just my opinion.
Absolutely correct.very pleased to hear this about return to office working. extremely sensible ,imo. others will follow suit over time.
Interesting that you have had no response to your emails either, bothwell.looks like a deliberate tactic to maintain complete silence then. to what end though?
Excellent news!
Afternoon bignose.it is almost as if the company has ceased to exist.no news for months.vitually no trades.i agree that any form of public financing looks virtually impossible.mellon thaking it private at a minuscule figure now looks the most likely outcome now im afraid.
Significant that they have both purchased just over the required notification level.note monro's is not an obvious round number purchase so perhaps designed to ensure it has to be notified.just speculating of course.
Just in case anyone is interested in this area.from a day or so agohttps://coingeek.com/the-hut-group-jo-drake-on-integrating-blockchain-and-ai-in-the-corporate-world-video/aplogies if it has already been posted but indent recall seeing it.
Afternoon bignose.well let's hope you are right and that it is something positive.fingers crossed!
Evening all. just saying hello and that i'm still here. just waiting like you all are. lack of news feels pretty ominous and whilst it may be a cloak to assist with some strategic objective,i do not really think that is the case.hope im wrong of course, but the longer things go on without news the more pessimistic i become.
Nothing from HL.i was toying with emailing them today, but on balance will probably wait a bit longer on the assumption that if they had any substantive news they would probably impart it.
Buy recommendation from simon thompson. https://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/ideas/2023/11/22/sigmaroc-enters-the-big-time-with-1bn-acquisition/
So the retail offer wasn't open for very long.secure message from HL shortly after 12.00 to say it had closed.pretty much par for the course in these situations,as everything is by and large pre-ordained and orchestrated. nothing to be read into it imo.
Sorry,should read"£800k"
Perhaps worth bearing in mind that in the year to july, hotel chocolat recorded a loss of £800m, so obviously other factors apart from pure profitability came into play.
Interesting to read the terms of the ocado RNS, as to the timescale of the deal, financial impact and revenue recognition etc .worth a look.
And from what source? don't hold your breath for a sensible informative reply!
Exactly,81.even if the intention to take up the extension option was in the pipeline a while ago,it will still have had to be sanctioned by the new owners,so a double level of approval in effect.
