We are all here when it peaked last month to low 70s and we are here today when it's gone as low as it has been for a few weeks.

Hold on tight because if you get rid of those shares, there's always someone who will mop the mop them up and take your rewards.

We know Cine is being held back and no doubt it will continue to fluctuate until Mooky releases some information about bums on seats.

Not to mention 25% of cinemas are still closed in USA. As mentioned on another thread. The Governor is under incredible pressure to get these open. Once that happens with Mookys head count, this baby has to rise and not even indepthwins or SHANUS can stop it.

This will be recovered by the end of the day - on any day of significant rise or fall, we have always landed back where we were. Hold in to your hard hats and hold on to your shares, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Haha don't you worry, no offence has been taken here. Like I've said, I'm brand new to this and obviously struck lucky with everyone's guidance here for which I am very grateful for.

I'm aware of the trading hours and things happening. I used the term today's price as what the close price was yesterday (accorinding to the BB). In order to keep things simple for me as a way or working out how much I have.

The 1200 share I mentioned is just one of the transactions that I have made (I've done 15 equating to 10k shares) at all different prices.

I think I've gotten to the bottom of it now

I've had a look and now I'm a bit more away (I was on a mega long shift last night so not making complete sense!)

I'll try again which will answer all of my questions.

I have bought the following:

1200 shares at 0.3894 (so I've spent £467.28).
Due to the SP rise at today's current rate, I am showing £229.08 in the green.

If I sell all 1200 shares at today's price, how much money will land in my account:
£229.08
or
£696.38 (the price I paid for the shares (467.28 plus the 229.08 due to SP increase)

Sorry it's been a clear as mud but if someone could answer me that then I can figure the rest out and again thank you for taking your time to read/help.

Bombdog. What you've said is correct.

I have put in £1000 (roughly) and as the SP was moving up, I gradually bought more and more shares taking me to 10k (it won't let me buy more).

My account value says it's 2k with £800 free funds available and £1200 is blocked funds.

If I was to sell all of my shares in Cineworld would I have the 2k or would I have 6k

I thought the account value is as you described but when I looked at the statement, that's what confused me.

Those figures are how much I spent on buying the shares at each price.

I need to do some research I think haha.

The sums above calculate to 4.5k roughly however my account value is 2k

If I was to sell all my shares, would my account then be worth 4.5k plus my account value of 2k?

Ps..I know I shouldn't be doing it if I don't know what I'm doing but he'll, this Cineworld is fun and I am still winning even though I can't work anything out.

And I've NOW for a steady balance where it can drop significantly and k won't have to out any more funds in (all my eggs are in this basket)

I was always told a question isn't stupid if you don't know the answer and as I'm brand new to this, I've took guidance from you all.

I have a T212 account. I've got 10k worth of shares averaging 48p. From my statement, it says my share value is around £4500 - however, I've not put anywhere near that in to my account, I've just been buying as it went up. (I did have to seek a few times due to greed!) However, I've not got a steady balance and my account value is just shy of 2k.

What I don't understand is - if my shares are worth 4.5k (according to my statement when I've added it up) why is my account value 2k?

Don't get me wrong. I'm happy because I'm in the green regardless but I don't get where the missing 2.5k is... Or, if I was to seek all my shares, my account would be worth 4.5k?

Sorry for the stupid question, I know all this will be common knowledge to you all.

Evening all.

I've had a weekend away from reading the BB and spent my time at work..

Surely this is too good to be true?

I've come back to a potential take over from Jhango, Tenet smashing it in UK, Tenet release in USA in 3 days, cinemas opening everywhere, COVID levels falling everywhere... And I've got approximately 10k shares. Averaging around 47p.

Please excuse me while I finish my beer, go to bed and stroke it at a medium pace until 8 bells tomorrow before the price and I erupt together.

Joking aside. Tomorrow could be an amazing day.

Also. Shamus is still a helmet. Whatever he says, discount.

It's been a bumpy ride but we have made it to the open of 21st August 2020. The day when Cinemas across USA open and a week before the big blockbuster TENET is released in UK before shortly following in America.

He have had a good strong finish to the last couple of days so everything is looking positive and both spikes appeared to happen when the famous "THE YANKS ARE COMING!" shout happens.

Well done to everyone who's made it this far.

Realistically, when would be looking for the rockets to be ignited on this?

I've been lurking in the background for a couple of weeks now reading all of the *mostly* useful messages.

I am brand new to trading, I've never done it before and generally have no idea what I'm doing and when I signed up to 212 it came with a warning that it's probably not suited to me.

I don't know the lingo, I don't know the meaning of anything, tampers, derampers and a lot has just twigged the more Ive read.

I've got a messy few quid invested here - the only few quid I have due to circumstances and when I could have taken a £1200 profit last Tuesday, I got really twitchy when it all came crashing down as that for me is a great deal of money.

Hindsight says I should have cashed it and bought back in again but there we go!

I've read most messages on here, the constructive and the not so and you all have very valid points however, opinions may differ.. but we all know opinions are like a**eholes. Everybody has one.

It appears I'm staying here for the long haul (providing I don't lose it all!) So if anyone has any crash courses in trading, I'm all ears haha.

Sorry I can't being anything to the table just yet but I enjoy learning and reading from you all:
RS, Crumpets, Jaisha and even in-depth.

Let's all enjoy the ride and hopefully take home some good profit, regardless of how we plan on doing it.
