Warren Buffet, one of the most successful investors in the world would never advocate chasing their losses, which several of these posters seem to do on a weekly basis.

That’s not strictly true. The market evaluates the likelihood of certain scenarios without getting emotional about it.

The only facts it is focused on are, will there be a bid and judging by the sp performance possibly not and the chances of a funding event.

Certain Solg BOD etc have tried to ramp up the bid scenario with silly( my opinion) data room comments, after a while the market will discount this as BS as there is only so long that can be entertained as material to the sp.

The other issue is funding ……most on here accept that at some point in the near future Solg will require further funds and there is no strategy in place that has been forthcoming, so it’s no wonder the sp is drifting down.

A bid is not in SOLGs hands the funding issue is and I’m sure shareholders hope they have a plan to sort this out that isn’t too painful for current holders.

But let’s face it Solg only have themselves to blame for the current position…….

Ohhhhh ToS they will be prompted into action because BBG needs them to dig him out of the 💩

What’s crumbling is the strategy to implement it.

They want to de-carbonize the uk but gas is still way cheaper to use than highly efficient heat pumps, how dies that incentivise users to move away from fossil fuels.

Plus the green tax is added to electric not gas…..it’s nuts.

At least the penny has dropped in the times today about getting the welfare bill down rather than letting every Tom, dick and harry in to the UK.

I think when you are down as much as BBG you will attack anyone even pro SOLG posters as they probably aren’t thinking straight, which patently obvious from their rampy daily ramblings

Honestly 1984, I pay attention to what things cost, our account was slightly in debit at £341 a month and prices increased dramatically….. £866 wasn’t that far out.

In terms of costs why would I spend £6k on another battery and inverter 14 months later if I had made such a silly decision.

I don’t cherry pick figures to fit the narrative, I just don’t put everything on a spreadsheet but I do know I am saving an absolute fortune which is what I intended. Yes I have outlayed a considerable chunk of capital but I have a much warmer more efficient house, I don’t spend £450 a month on diesel, or £340 on heating the house. I can cool our house in the summer if it’s 30°c outside and all this will cost me nothing this year. Even on your figures my costs are returned in 4 years and I suspect I will actually make a 4 figure sum this year!!!!

We are with octopus, they are very very good.

I’m pretty sure we are better off with our current tariff than the cosy or flux tariffs.

Our house is much warmer with heat pumps than it ever was with a gas boiler !!!!!

Our DD in 2021 was £350 a month gas & electric

2022 they asked us to increase it to £866 a month but I had already initiated pv, battery, heat pump installation, bills came in at £125 a month.

I can export at double the cost I can import. May - September will easily cover the cost of nov-March. Now free chargers have pretty much disappeared my costs since October also include charging 3 EVs at home.

Batteries and solar, but I have a small pv set up, the batteries are where the savings are and exporting back to the grid.

Charging at 7.5p/kWh and selling back to the grid at 15 p/kWh

Last year I would charge my EV using solar but there is no lint now when I can get double exporting it.

Firstly the grant, like any government grant is not that easy to access. Too much paperwork and hoops to jump,through.

Secondly people are sceptical, just like you , about the savings.

People who put solar in 15 years ago have been laughing all the way to the bank, those early adopters are now taking up the offers currently available.
