Working with Longhorn, a Chinese Tier 1 supplier, the pair will develop an automated parking system that uses both visual and ultrasound input on Ambarella's CV22 H2 SoC. The solution will detect free space, parking, identify vehicles, and identify obstacle types. It will also initiate emergency breaking where needed. In a collaboration with Baolong, a Chinese Tier 1 supplier of automotive sensors in the ADAS market, the pair will develop a high performance, low power consuming driver monitoring system. The system will read a driver's facial information and detect driver fatigue using AI and processing video in real-time.

Spy shots already show the next-gen Tahoe and Escalade (gallery above) under development. The new models reportedly ride on the T1XX body-on-frame platform. The photos indicate that these SUVs retain a big, boxy shape, but there are bigger changes underneath the skin. For example, the Tahoe gets an independent rear suspension, and the Escalade allegedly offers a massive infotainment screen that could be as large as 16 inches.

The Caddy might get the Super Cruise hands-off cruise control system, too.

What was said is key. 6 quotes out and majority decisions anticipated by end June. I think weve only had 1 or 2 since Jan so yes its behind on decisions atm. If we get 2 in the next week it would be great. But things take longer than anticipated sometimes.
Iam waiting for contracts in Dubai that should of been signed of 2 months ago and are still faffing. We dont know here if they are signed already due to NDAs? That could be the case aswell.

We also have the news on who the other Tier 1 is. Once again covered by NDAs no doubt.

In addition, Seeing Machines continues to respond to RFQs (request for quote) across North America, Europe and Asia, with a number of the Group's submissions being presented via multiple Tier 1 partners. Seeing Machines has recently finalised an additional collaboration agreement with one of the largest global Tier 1 automotive parts suppliers, paving the way for more in-depth technology sharing and collaboration toward additional OEM design wins, and demonstrating continued, successful growth of Tier 1 collaborations across the industry.

Yes lets hope all sorted ok. Cadillac will put in all models then expand to GM aswell. They are pushing like crazy and China are saying expect to sell big numbers.

With global shipments of automotive IR vision DMS forecast to rise to almost 70 million in 2025, from about 1 million this year, it is the suppliers of DMS software that look likely to be the major winners. Seeing Machines — which provides the DMS for Super Cruise in the Cadillac CT6 — is the clear technology leader and well positioned to take the largest market share for DMS in Level 2+/3- vehicles.

For lower end vehicles operating at Levels 1 and 2, the DMS design-wins look set to be mostly shared between Seeing Machines, Smart Eye, Eyesight Technologies and Jungo Connectivity, among others.
