When the winds get too high the turbines are shut down(brake is applied) as the risk of overspeed causing damage is high………and that is expensive kit which is difficult to repair after catastrophic mechanical/system failure. Extreme high wind is just the opposite end of the scale from no wind…..in either case there is no power. When winds calm down and get back into standard operating limits they get back to producing.

ITM just announced a contract to build a 24MW electrolyser in a major fertiliser plant in Norway. One of the purposes is to provide ammonia for transport………..betting we see a ZeroCoaster ordered quite soon.

The shop floor has a lot more work in progress than previously seen. Looks much busier place.

The de-escalation from Cuba included the USA removing nuclear missiles based in Turkey - xright on Russian border so strike time Circa10 -15 mins.

There are no nuclear weapons in Ukraine. They sent them all back to Russia when Ukraine became independent.

This is about an old communist trying to turn back time to the days of the USSR ie Russian empire. Unsurprisingly the Ukrainians are not happy with that. Same as Latvians, eastonians,Lithuanians, moldovians. And of course the old iron curtain countries like Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and the assortment of former Yugoslavian states.

Strangely a lot of people do not want to be part of a Russian empire any more.

I replaced a gas boiler 18 months ago.

Looked at heat pump BUT the temperature out put is lower and I would have had to replace all of the radiators as well. My engineer tells me this is common in older houses and makes the cost massively unfavourable.

Anyone seen any publicity on heat pumps that mentions the radiator issue? I have not.

As commented below, further evidence of lack of coherence in thinking and strategy from our government. Sound bites, a glass or two of wine and tallyho chaps. Unbelievable.

On the upside…….increasing the demand for green H2 as at Turin acts to increase the supply and that will benefit us as production grows.
