The country cannot afford another month of hustings for Tory leader. Fundamentally, the problem is UK following the Brexit narrative of taking back control, whilst agreeing to preserve the GFA, and take back control of Northern Ireland …. That spat is what set off the decline in the £ …. along with the usual economic worlds stress that sees sterling sold off.
Meanwhile, it’s an oxymoron insisting UK reduces taxation hoping for foreign investment …. Investment in what?
Broad meaningless soundbites is all the country has heard since 2016, coupled with the latest fiasco, of pledging to reduce taxes, then inform markets how those taxes will be paid for, when government has worked out a solution.
Align with the EU ….. is what is needed in the short term as the quickest means to turn the country around, saving billions.
