Goodness me RK1, please, have a day off, you dilute your (previously) valued postings with what appears to becoming a rant. I'm all for discussion, hence why I lurk and (occasionally) post but sometimes, less really is more! atb

I'm cautiously optimistic and hope that AK doesn't forget us long (suffering) term holders. I've been in since 2016 and had to severely average down to keep my head above water here and we're still some way off the price I first paid (which I don't like to talk about!) ;) I'll wait til I see the admission document before getting as carried away as some on here. However, if some of the numbers quoted on here turn out to be right, I'll be absolutely delighted. Only 11 sleeps til (hopefully) we find out. Good luck everyone, lets hope this wait turns out to be extremely worth it

I suspect it's because a quick(er) payout is wanted and a takeover will achieve that. Whether waiting longer to see if better value can be achieved under continued ownership, is the big question. A bird in the hand and all that. Whatever happens, the outcome certainly won't be decided by any of us on here but by the big players that may already be engaged in lining up their chairs in readiness for the music stopping

Whilst that's the advertised spread, you can trade well within it, currently live prices to buy/sell in reasonable size are 1.812 v 1.949 and have been for a while

RK1 I understand you're trading this share and (rightly) proud of how you fare, but out of curiosity, why do you always (including the last 7 weeks you reference), mark you posts as 'strong buy'?
