'That will now happen in the UK and you know what...you don't get the arguing with/crowding the ref or the ridiculous rolling, writhing and screaming you get in the mens game...'
Yes, it was a real breath of fresh air. I no longer watch Premier League and instead go and watch my league 2 team. Watching evenly matched, honest sport beats the highly technical but cynical stuff we see in top European leagues, world cups etc. I've had this conversation with friends/family, as football seems to be the only sport I can think of where 'cheating' appears to be encouraged/condoned such as trying to get a penalty when no contact has been made etc. Can you imagine the furore if someone tried to trip up Usain Bolt at the start of the 100 metres and then go on to claim the gold medal?!. The shame is with the commercial growth of the women's game that is likely to occur will come all the simulation/cheating etc that you see in the higher echelons of the mens game because at that level it's more of a business than a sport.
Anyways, back to Solg watching! atb
