Sounds like they are discussing REACT2 which used the fortress diagnostics test.

Ive not seen the data (not sure if its even published) but we know that fortress did not meet MHRA target of 98% sensitivity. A lot of the time a test will fail sensitivity specs as it fails to pick up low concentration samples (The limit of detection of the assay is not low enough)

It could well be the case that after a certain period of time antibody presence is below the detection limit of fortress and so they test negative for antibodies. in theory a more sensitive test likely has a better LoD and therefore will detect antibodies for a longer period of time even if they are declining

Shame the trading update only covers up until 30Sep20 but very good news on delivery of stock.

What is never stated in these rare, isolated reports of catching it twice is the severity of the secondary infection.

Of course you can be positive for the virus again but if you have, at the very least, B cell memory you are far more likely to have a less severe illness as your body will be able to ramp up the immunological response quickly.

If we were talking about immunocompromised populations then that would be a completely different story. Too much half assed one dimensional scientific reporting going on. Antibody testing will be incredibly valuable for a long time especially delivered by the self at point of care rather than healthcare centres and diagnostic laboratories.

The regions cases are plateauing now and despite leaks to the contrary the critical care bed usage is not elevated excessively beyond usual for this time of year. The city itself contains 2 very large universities as well as numerous colleges and much of the spike is attributed to spreading amongst student halls as it is in other cities.

In my experience LAMP works very well if there's an abundance of target DNA. Id be suspicious that low positives will be below the limit of detection of that assay.

Yeah my experience is that the slowdown comes when questions are asked and then companies have to respond and get those responses approved through several internal departments before communication externally again. Maybe this is quicker with a smaller AIM company than a larger one but its certainly a bottleneck.

At the end of the day people have to agree to sell their shares at that price to move the stock so people must be happy with their decisions. Im unbelievably confident this is just going to keep going up from here over the medium to long term
