Little update15 May 2020 16:42
Just to provide some comfort to your Friday afternoons...
I dropped LR an email this morning to ask about the current levels of activity across the board and whether any one particular action item from the next steps in the last RNS was affected and if so to what extent etc etc.... and I received a call back, much to my surprise.
Although clearly he wasn't able to provide details, dates or anything market sensitive, he was happy for me to pass on to the board that:
- operational changes have been made and efficiencies gained as a result (he gave a concrete example, no pun intended); he is aware that there is a need for a general update on state of play - mentioned other shareholder request(s) - and it will be addressed through an update shortly (sooner than test results below);
- regarding the current phase of tests, there are multiple streams ongoing and the results are still coming in - e.g, they received an update last week, however nothing to share yet on any one result but the combined results will of course trigger a formal release (seems logical). Timing-wise, he implied we would need to be patient for a few more weeks yet, but that final results were NOT months and months away. One interesting note was that test samples were in the Spain... the UK... and other location(s)... more on that later....
- from a strategic point of view, there is also good progress... marketing materials etc...
It may just have been an excuse to walk away from the computer for 10mins, as he said, but the 10 minute one-on-one has, for me, restored a lot of confidence both in the company and also in LR.
Like it, loath it, ignore it. It's Friday. And almost the weekend... positive thoughts.
