OK, I just tried the same, clicking extremely carefully (have learned that lesson before, the hard way!) and I received a quote above bid my entire holding, too (9 figure+ trade.) Never seen that before. So someone is happy to buy.

Bobby - was thinking about the timing of the announcement and the delay before the actual consolidation and I can't understand why such a gamble would be taken? Could the SP have been voluntarily suspended, as someone suggested? That would have at least made sense. Not sure who can decide such an action though. Let's just hope whatever is happening in the background is calculated, under control and for the good of the long term share price.

Bobby - agreed. Would add that we are also due the "final" results from the latest METS testing which were coming together a month of so ago... These are a separate workstream to the investigation license so no dependency (I confirmed with LR yesterday). If the METS results remain positive - or show further improvement (which I think we are all expecting, not that good news has helped the SP recently) the million dollar question will be on timing of such a release. Before, on, or after July 15.

Not sure how the spread-betting model works, but If the spread betting companies are required to hold a volume of shares to “cover” the bet then a reduction would imply either reduced customers targeting EDL and / or increased potential volatility meaning they take fewer bets?
As stated, I don’t know how the model works, so that’s only my random assumption. Anyone actually know?

Any thoughts on the fact that we have been sitting at -7.41% down almost all day... regardless of the trades in and out. Ignoring the trade colours, the recent trend seems to imply buys...

.. is indicative of radical shake-up being required, it's the fact that £6k worth of buys and a similar value in sells can shift a share price down 7%.
No conspiracy theories required, but market sentiment is clearly not in our favour.
We certainly need some positive news before July or a lot of us could be on the DNR list!

10bT - I'm certainly not knowledgable about the sector but I assume cash will be one consideration, and then secondly there could well be operating commitments attached to their license. I tried looking on the local government Province of Leon website to see if the latest (or any) application was published but couldn't navigate it (despite Google translate...). I would have thought it would be sitting somewhere due to the European Open Gov requirements...
