Check this out, a nurse in Nottingham has tweeted a pic of the 3 tests she was sent after testing positive for covid... with an attached letter from the falcon study.
1. Standard swab
2. Standard swab for mass spec
3. swab and saliva

If anyone fancies purchasing this report, i'd love the highlights :) cant afford it myself. interesting it mentions a fair few of our competitors and where they are in the market. I also thought the growth rates from $5.6b to $7b + in the next few years where interesting and somewhat small ... Apparently these are the major players in this space, some obvious some not so, Abbott Laboratories, F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Danaher Corporation, Siemens AG, Becton, Dickinson and Company, bioMérieux, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Thermo Fisher Scientific, QIAGEN NV, and Hologic Inc.

Just listening back to the last directors talk interview for the 50th time, and Al say the following when talking about the lft using anterior swab "BBI solutions are going to continue to finalise the manufacturing process and validate that whilst we begin to gather the first clinical data so we're in a position to go into the full clinical validation of the final product as soon as possible at sites we have already lined up in the UK and EU"
My question is, who validates the manufacturing process?, has this been completed? and is this what everyone is calling tech transfer? If so would we not hear about this being completed before any such news on the clinical validation?
We all know there’s an nda in place, it’s in black and white if you’re part of the government testing program, but I personally don’t think that’s what’s stopping them sharing successes. If there was some massive trial they couldn’t speak about and we were some how in line to win this tender, we would have heard or seen images of the test being used , you can literally search Twitter under COVID test and sh@“ loads turn up, it would be too hard to keep it this quiet, which is why I suspect we’re exactly where the last rns stated, waiting to complete the test then trial it across Europe. It will come but can’t see it happening this year anymore, that being said, still holding and still under water.... hoping I’m wrong
Interesting New rapid test trial taking place for the next 3 weeks schools, apparently results in 15 mins, tested 1400 students in 2 days, the teacher mentions it being relatively comfortable due to “smaller softer swab”
See Twitter thread here..... https://twitter.com/mrarobbins/status/1333423002315345920?s=21
Just seen this too, something overlooked until now, but I suspect with an influx of test coming to market of good quality (ours exceptional) I can imagine it will soon come down to price, fingers crossed ours is super cheap, so becoming our usp.
My opinion is anyone with decent test which it seems we will have eventually, will sell all they can produce in the near term, so i do hold for contract news. But i've also lost some trust in the CEO and his messaging, I was fairly relaxed about the house purchase as long as everything was on track but now with this pivot to swab and dare i say it, slight further delay to TT, I now think it was a bit sneaky. I hope for some real progress and factual detailed updates before xmas.
Sharemarket - That tender hasn't closed, and if you read Avacta didn't participate its speculation, unless the procurement team have decided to break government protocol... you probably read assumptions based on Avacta currently not having tech transfer complete.
Interested in hearing opinions on Tech transfer news, will this come with s/s figures from the evaluation at lstm? If not i actually believe this huge share price surge everyone keeps talking about wont be at that stage. I personally think tt will see a rise to potentially the 137 (PL75 fave) to 150s .....Even if we have contracts secretly in the back pocket, these wont be released until the 10k trial completion right? Anyone have any idea how long that could take 2,4,8 weeks?, and at that point if all is well then i think we'll see the large jump with contracts (hopefully).
With regard to BAMS, I personally think the same as above small sentiment then a rise if we have strong commercial contracts, but back in the summer not many people thought would be that large, hoping this has now changed, perhaps with a US contract?
This BB gets a load of stick, but actually for some like me when i was trying to work out the basics it was really helpful. After a while you start understanding where most of these posters are coming from, the rampers are cool i get they want the share price to go up, the knowledge sharers are ideal for people like me with really limited time, the jokers add a bit of amusement on the boring days and even the derampers who show up early morning to try and get some selling going, I understand that.... what i don't understand is the ones that are here day in day out hating on this stock, Alwayswhining etc, you all say you're not invested but still here everyday moaning like little girls calling celebs fat on twitter, probably racist and still living with your parents. what are you doing with your life seriously have a look in the mirror you're all fu*&%ng boring, grow up!
What a day, I can imagine a lot of people are over extended right now so wishing you all the luck to make it back. But try not to freak out too much, this isn’t the first time... i first got in around 152 In April/may I think, pretty much stayed under water for a few months, at one point remember seeing 99p, but I still believe if we deliver the test in the near future we will still be able to sell more than we can produce, if not in the uk who cares. Also these early announcements such as today’s vaccine news don’t always work out, they’ve set a high bar now, take a look at sona, a great example of over promise under deliver, any bad results will have a big impact.
Always winning, I think you might have just ramped this stock accidentally.... but if your prediction is correct and our tests hit the market next month that’ll be ideal and this months news flow and the sp will be through the roof. So now you’re team player, I think you’ll agree, if a pregnancy style Covid test hits the market next month, governments the world over will be ordering millions of them... come on you soppy b@st@rd, you know you want it to happen
Yeah I saw that too....Apparently Arizona uni alongside the state department of health have developed a saliva test and rolling out to students , but nothing nationwide and I can imagine she’s only heard about that test because how vocal the university has been about it, doesn’t have any regulation in place or anything, certainly no competition for now.
Old news, the oxford nano news was released back at the start of Aug, so surely has to be something newer to announce https://nanoporetech.com/about-us/news/oxford-nanopore-technologies-partners-uk-government-roll-out-lampore-new-generation
We were definitely part of the Southampton program back in June, optigene were the main partner, but we had a play if I remember rightly. Hopefully we will play a bigger part this time... here is the link the government shared https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-saliva-test-for-coronavirus-piloted-in-southampton
