Yes cperkin, I'm pretty sure. The valve was stuck a month ago. We needed to do remedial work on the well (which hasn't started yet) to get it back online and then we were going to re-enter the well with a perf gun for this mysterious layer that everyone missed.

I can't see that we would somehow have started producing and the BOD not let us know, after all that's about the only positive thing they can actually tell us until the farm-out has concluded and that is still 2 months away assuming it's not further delayed.

If we are going to get an update on this simple valve replacement which Bhattacherjee stated would take a "matter of a few days" in this quarter. Stated verbally in a proactive interview and subsequently in an RNS they are leaving it to the 11th hour. 2 working days left. A month on since his proactive interview. I hope there is an RNS in the morning. Kiliwani has been out of action for far too long.

Total has generated some income over the last two quarters, I believe, to more than justify the CEOs salary. Is Jay Bhattacherjee really worth 10% of Pouyanne's salary I wonder?

That's equivalent to 0.51p per £1 m/c. So Bhattacherjee gets paid ~ 10% of Patrick Pouyanne's salary yet Aminex has a market cap of ~ 0.4% of Total's. In other words if Patrick Pouyanne paid himself at the same proportion as Bhattacherjee he'd be on £755m/year. Bhattacherjee clearly rates himself to be demanding 10% of Patrick Pouyanne's salary. I wouldn't rule out Hanns Camp just yet: they're all damp squibs until someone makes a strike and I have a feeling Hanns Camp may be the jewel in our crown. Time will tell. :)

Wonder how long it will take Total to do something with the strike? Hopefully they don't have any valves to replace because that could add some huge delays. However I guess their priority really should be salary rises for their BOD.

I think all projects we are developing have the potential to be game changers from ~£20m m/c. We have a whole copper mine with offtake agreement in place for full production and the sp is lower than when we bought it!? Redmoor is looking like it could be a fleet of juggernauts. CARE we are closing in on nickel and copper. At Cobre Freeport are looking to restart the mine and we have a US trade war bumping up demand. We were ~2.5p before LCCM and Redmoor drills so recommencement of deliveries to our major client should return the sp to 2p+. Amazing we're still sub 2p IMO.

No oil has been found onshore in Tanzania to date. Only a few oil shows and tarballs. Geologically speaking it should be there but had not been found yet.

Post farm-out it will be ARA calling the shots so any decisions relating to the CH1 drill will be made by them, not us. By your same logic if you were the Zubair Corporation would you keep this under your hat until you had signed agreement with Aminex shareholders?

There may be oil but equally there may be no oil. The drill is targeting liquids but it's perfectly possible this will be condensate. In some respects it may be better if this is just a straight gas play because given past experience anything unexpected at the well will just cause further delays. However an oil discovery, if commercial, may allow LTHs to get out with their shirts back. Here's hoping.

Eh, SML aren't looking for lithium. If Elon starts looking for Tungsten, Tin, Copper or Magnetite let us know. We may also have some Cobalt or Nickel but we're keeping those for the highest bidder and Mr Must had better get his cheque book out and get in line if we find commercial quantities of either ;)

Aminex has been looking for a farm out partner for years. We have opened our data room several times for farmout partners. The current offer is from a 30% shareholder in Aminex with insider knowledge and relationships on the political environment in Tanzania. Why this was even touted as an advantage of the deal, greasing the gears of government etc.

I sincerely hope we hear something positive next week. This endless waiting for some/any progress is extremely tiresome.

The knowledge that we are paying an expanded team handsomely who will transfer to ARA with zero back costs even for this transition period after the binding agreement is troubling.

Comcast just outbid Fox for Sky for $30bn. Takeover has huge regulatory scrutiny. It's expected to be completed by the end of October around 6 weeks after the bid and shareholders have to vote within that 6 week timescale. Aminex announced the 'transformational' farm out of 50% of Ruvuma on 12th July for $5m and up to $35m in costs. Completion expected by the end of November 18 weeks after the bid. Why is the takeover of Ruvuma more complex and time-consuming that a broadcaster with all the rights and regulations that go along with it? Amazing.
