Late last night it was confirmed that he had received a positive PCR….shame!

He has taken a LFT at home that was positive…I assume it was a Chinese one and now awaits a PCR whilst isolating.
Wouldn’t it help confirm how bad these tests are…if it came back negative?
Lets hope the press get hold of the fact that his department has just ordered £144 million more!!

Don’t underestimate what Medusa are up to behind the scenes. My guess is that they are going for self test approval in Spain. They have a lot to gain if they sell to the public ( when the NHS ones are no longer free) if they sell at £20 a pop!
Looking at the charges for private PCR tests, £20 for a private LFT will be very competitive

£144 million is around 22 million tests.
They are doing 900,000 tests per day PLUS the free ones given out and not recorded, so lets say 3 weeks supply tops.
It is 6 weeks to the end of August. Maybe stocks are just running low.

A slight correction.
I found martinnotsosmarts excellent post from this afternoon.
440 given away in 7 months excluding schools.
So we would need to supply Around 2.7 million per day (excluding pupils being tested daily in quarantine)

There are 3.8 million kids in secondary education in the UK.
If they are tested twice a week, that is 7.6 million a week
We have given out approx 560 million tests excluding schools in 7 months.
We need to be able to supply around 110 million a month,
Say 4 million a day.
Can we do this?

How many is that?
375000 had been isolating which was 5% of school kids
So we need 7,500,000 tests per DAY

Correct. They are really trying to save face and trying to get the cr*p tests used up any way they can.
But what are they going to replace them with at 150 million a month for the kids? September is not long away. This is a huge number and will need some advanced organisation. Tye EUA runs out…..what next?
I for one don’t care about us supplying the UK…why?
At these numbers they will have to be dirt cheap and we will make more selling to EU and RoW. We will also make more at Medusas home test prices.
Besides the issue of ability to manufacture in such numbers…..will we get paid regularly?
OK, we will just be supplying the LFT manufacturers for the “innards” but it is still something that may affect Avacta. Sir Al is best concentrating supplying elsewhere.
