The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
LOL... @Badvoc good to see some humor on this board. My response would have been in a similar sarcastic manor :-)
Here's a cryptic tweet that will back up at least some of what I am saying...
My wife is a beautiful Blonde Bombshell... Before she became a stay at home Mom she worked as a nurse for one of London's top Private hospitals which is where I met her in my role as Regional Director of the Private Healthcare provider. Her claim to fame is that she nursed David Attenborough back to health post hip replacement surgery. It was during this period that David recommended to her that we travel Madagascar as it is favorite country in the world because of it's rich diversity. We took up his advice and the rest as they say is history...
After 11 years of focusing her attention solely on the Children she too wanted a new challenge so I encouraged her to set up a share trading account and start investing in shares. PFC was the 1st share she ever bought and needless to say she is very passionate investor who I can guarantee you knows more about this share than most.
Her passion often results in her posts on the Petrofac social media account on X often being removed by Petrofac. However there are still a few that remain on the Petrofac X platform..... She refers to our family as Hillbillies...
I am pretty sure that most of you will figure out how to find her and you will see enough to recognize that I am speaking the truth, all I ask is that you respect her privacy...
I'm pretty sure that once you have figured out that I'm speaking the truth you will have more confidence in what I'm saying so let me know if you managed to come right?
What I would also like to point out is that my wife is my everything and I will do what it takes to ensure that her 1st investment is a winner no matter the cost!
Enough banter...
Best of luck all & have a great day!
@ge0rge123 perfectly acceptable to ask that question and you can choose to make your own decision based on my answer.
I am a 46 year old South African born British Citizen, Both my parents are British and they emigrated to South Africa 52 years ago. I spent the 1st 14 years of my life in South Africa before returning back to the UK where I studied and later worked my way up the ladder into a Director Role on a FTSE 250 business. While I was involved in that business I was heavily involved in the import arm and I recognized a opportunity to import Fruit & Veg from South Africa into Europe. I later sold that business to a listed company for more than PFC's current market value.
I retired at 40 moved to a small Island off Madagascar called Nosy Be. Where I have now lived with my wife and 2 children for the past 6 years. One would think that this is the ultimate dream the truth is you can only sit and stare at the beautiful sea for so long before you get bored. I have a mentor that is widely regarded as one of the best CEO's in the UK and he encouraged me to look for something to do to give back, so I created a very small fund which includes a few retired ex-CEOs that wanted to make a difference by investing in struggling business that have the potential to make a difference and it go's without saying that PFC fits the bill.
Why am I telling you this? It's certainly not to blow smoke up my own ass that I can promise you... I have a bigger plan which will later include all of you PI's (shorts included)... because if there is one thing I have learned during my time that we have been invested inPFC is tha PI's get the ass end of the stick more often than not and I have a plan that will turn the Odds in our favor.
You see it would be a risky business for me to come out and tell you all of this if I couldn't back it all up, especially considering I have told you my agenda...
To all the people who have filled up my inbox over the past hour please don't take it personally but I have handed that responsibility over to my PA to handle responses as I have too much on my plate at the moment.
Just from the 1st 2 messages I have read... to answer your question I don't know for sure if there will be a D4E or not. We do not have a contact on the inside feeding us info like the shorts do... Sorry I couldn't resist a dig.... LOL
But at the rate of knots shorts are closing something tells me there won't be one. As per my previous messages we believed there would be a D4E but that's all changed for us now. We loaded up on plenty today!
Best of luck all with your strategy... My advice to all, think with your head not your heart!
Apologies for the delay Johny I wanted to confirm with my analysts that they had picked up on this info you provided.
As I was duly reminded by the team they haven't left a stone unturned... every post, every conspiracy theory, every query, every detail they have covered, so thank you for that!
Thanks for your support PlymouthMike!
As I said earlier we need a bit more time to ensure we have all of our i's dotted and t's crossed but we are not too far away from being able to provide you all with the information that you need to make an informed decision.
We will be sending out detail of our findings prior to a conference call which my PA will co-ordinate. if any of you are unclear of any of the information provided our analysts will be on hand to explain in more detail.
This board of Directors has NO respect for it's shareholders and It's about time they remember who is in charge...
It's time to hand the Power back to the PI's...
In the very near future I will be sending out details of our findings and we will be looking for a vote of no confidence to overturn this board.
PI's have power... Particularly in PFC's case which is a predominantly PI owned business. We just need to stand together to realize that POWER!
Can anyone guess why we asked Question 2???
I was as confused by it as most of you I am sure will be... The devil is in the detail...
2. Who was responsible for the decision to release the RNS?
I'm pretty sure that IR are scrolling this board regularly and I want them to read this... they are very aware that the SEC and FCA are also awaiting their response...
YorkshireBlues please note as per correspondence with Investor Relations in previous thread. We are awaiting a response to question 1.
1. The title for Friday's RNS was "Update on Strategic and Financial Options," what NEW information was given to shareholders that wasn't already communicated by Petrofac in the past?
Once we have received a response I will gladly pass on the detail. But until then understand the bigger picture here please...
Johny there is a lot more that will come out in the wash this you can be sure of... Our primary focus is to remove the existing board and replace it with one that is capable of turning that 8Bil plus pipeline into profits.
However I am pretty sure that a few of the longer term Investors like PFC Veteran would prefer to see this lot put behind bars...
On a more positive note... The dog days are almost over!
Lol... Johny I would love to take credit for those such eloquently put words you are referring to but when it comes to legal jargon I leave it to the experts.
Our legal team has been building a case against the Board of Directors at PFC for sometime now and if there is one thing I have learned in the world of corporate law never believe what it says on the tin...
Looks like they are copying and pasting responses.......

Are you implying that this is the NEW information that was given to shareholders that wasn't already communicated by Petrofac in the past? Please confirm your answer to Question 1.
Please be advised that you failed to provide us with a response to question 2?
Once again I would like to remind you that the information you provide us with is under legal review.

Dear,
The Company and its Board consider that it is appropriate to keep the market informed of the status of ongoing negotiations as part of the Company’s review of strategic and financial options.
The announcement of 12 April 2024 provides such an update, following the earlier announcements made by the Company (most recently on 05 March 2024), noting that a significant proportion of the Group’s debt could be exchanged for equity.
The Company will make further announcements as it considers appropriate.
Best regards,
Petrofac Investor Relations Team

Subject: Question for Petrofac Investor Relations
Good morning James,
I am a shareholder of Petrofac and I am emailing you on behalf of a group of Private Investors who currently own shares in Petrofac.
Please be advised that for legal reasons I need to disclose that all comms will be monitored by a legal team.
Following the release of Friday 12th April 2024 RNS please could you provide answers for the following questions.
1. The title for Friday's RNS was "Update on Strategic and Financial Options," what NEW information was given to shareholders that wasn't already communicated by Petrofac in the past?
2. Who was responsible for the decision to release the RNS?
We look forward to a timely response.
Good Morning fellow PFC Shareholders,
What a difference a RNS makes...!?!?
Prior to Fridays bombshell we were sitting firmly in the camp of a Non- Core Asset Sale combined with a D4E making up the shortfall... That all changed for us when the RNS arrived!
Friday's RNS offered us NO NEW INFORMATION as various different news sources picked up...
No conspiracy theory here.... just pure fact... PFC wanted to derail the share price Friday and everyone noticed. Short or Long everything changed in that moment - WHY??
It is simple answer... UNCERTAINTY!!
Even the shorts are resorting to misinformation to try and justify it...
According to the RNS all 3 options remain firmly on the table as they have done for sometime now!
How come we are not hearing of Core Assets being sold? D4E should have been a formality for us yet Friday they chose not to cement this option which would have been the sensible thing to do with time no longer being on their side...
So what was it that changed our thought process....
Plain and simple Monday - Friday sales volume - Someone was accumulating and where the devil is in the detail is that they didn't stop following the RNS...
In fact they saw Friday as a significant opportunity to get their Henry out and hoover up all those cheap shares that PI's were frantically trying too offload with NO FEAR of a D4E looming....
Expect the UNEXPECTED this week ladies and gentleman!
Good luck
Good Afternoon fellow PFC Shareholders,
WOW... So many different interpretations from Fridays RNS! Makes one think how simple investing would be if we could all have a crystal ball...
After having completed my Sunday afternoon reading there are a couple of questions I would love to have answers for!
1)Why did the board choose to derail the share price on Friday??
Numerous publications pointed out that Fridays RNS offered shareholders NO NEW INFORMATION.
So why offer us a pathetic excuse for an RNS when your share price is rocketing?
2) Why are we all so sure there will be a D4E?? They had the opportunity to tell us there will be but instead they chose to lose us all in our own assumptions...
We were expecting to get a buying opportunity sub 20p Friday... that never happened.... Someone has the hoover out and they clearly aren't concerned about a D4E happening otherwise why would they be buying...
FOOD FOR THOUGHT... Oh if only i had a crystal ball...
Best of luck holders...
Ps we are looking to 3X our current position over the course of next week.
Someone wants us cheap and it is happening quickly!
Good Morning fellow PFC shareholders,
It's been a while... Trust you are all well...
Does this RNS give off a scent of hidden agenda... ??
Why would the board release this very vague RNS while the share price has risen substantially over the past few days??
I expect the shares that all PI's offload today to be hoovered up...
Back again when we reach 90p
Over & Out!
Good Afternoon Fellow PFC Shareholders,
I trust you are all keeping well... Based on today's rise the longs I'm sure are... Shorts not so much ;-)
Some positive news Leaked??
Mmmm... We think as much... A share doesn't just randomly jump +23% over a 5 day period for no rhyme or reason...
If possible we would love to hear the thoughts of a few of the long term holders on how they see the next 6 months playing out??
Mary we value your opinion so please let us know your thoughts if you don't mind.
Shorts no doubt you will want to have your say but for the record we are going know where anytime soon so hearing about a capital raise is of no interest to us...
At present the Talisman are divided...
> In my Camp we believe that there is a buyout being negotiated... Our SP Forecast based on our workings where we looked at various different valuation models based on forward earnings & PE ratios of like for like competitors in the market we see fair value at 170p - 200p.
> In Daves Camp they see it playing out as follows:
- News landing shortly on who's been hoovering up all these cheap shares , SP movement forecast+40p
- Shorts panic shortly after, SP movement forecast +50p
- Within the next 2months PFC announce capital safety plan , SP movement forecast +80p
- Gradual incline thereafter based on how Project Pipeline feeds into Debt Reduction , EOY SP Movement +150p
- New Contract Wins will increase these projections
We are very interested to get your thoughts...
PS. for those interested... we are still in the dark on how investigation is proceeding but we have been told it is still under review.
Until next time all...
Onwards and Upwards
Good Morning fellow PFC shareholders,
As I mentioned in my post yesterday evening, the shorts will start to play every trick in the book as they look to exit... My 2 pennies... DONT get caught up in the Noise!
Important you understand the reasons behind Schroeders exit and even more important to Identify where the Shorts will now focus their attention... Capital Raise is their last place to hide and if you believe this is on the table you should exit. We on the other hand are not even considering this as an option. We believe the size of PFC's order book takes this option off the table.
If you missed my post from yesterday please take the time to review and make up your own mind on your position, don't allow the trolls to get inside your head!
Onwards and Upwards...
(I included my post from yesterday below for those that missed it...)
Good evening fellow PFC share holders,
So now that the news is finally out in the open... let's take a closer look into what has just happened...
When the share price was collapsing and a few of you flagged there was an issue relating to the extent of the fall you were on the right track... you just didn't look into the data. You see it was easy for our analysts to pick up that there was a seller. The numbers weren't stacking up, the shorts increases were not even close to the volumes being sold. It was then that we picked up suspicious activity in connection with 3 of the shorts...
Our concerns related to the correlation between the sellers trades and the shorts increases. Hence our investigation. So while everyone was blaming shorts for the fall Schroeders was busy selling as per todays RNS. What we are hoping is that the FCA can now prove this. We believe the rest of the shorts were increasing based on the volume of shares Schroeders was offloading.
So what now...
The shorts are in trouble... big trouble... they now have to exit, expect a last ditch attempt from them to try and create fear now that all is out in the open and they have no where to hide. Who's selling... no one I should imagine so the short squeeze has arrived!
What is next for PFC?
We have worked a few pricing models and we estimate fair value to be 230p +
Based on the order books current value and potential for growth this share is massively undervalued... lets not foget PFC operates in a sector which is crucial to the worlds climate goals... they are recruiting... the fed will be reducing rates shortly and debt will become a lot cheaper. The list go's on...
The buyers are lining up here people, this you can be sure of!
The future looks bright fellow PFC Shareholders and we believe the Golden Goose has arrived and PFCs name is already engraved in that golden egg...
Onwards and Upwards....
