Thanks Codney. I'm pursuing two strands - some LT investments, some ST. I've a friend who is a professor in material science and had a chat with him yesterday evening about AGM. Nothing he said put me off (he didn't know AGM personally, but understood the science - it was he who said commercialisation of the produce would revolutionise the world in the way the internet has done), and I think it's the commercialisation of the product, and AGM's position in the industry which was the tipping point (in favour) for me. In terms of contract announcements, they're obviously hard to predict, but with "119 active engagements", it's hard not to believe that there won't be any RNS in the next six months. If I were to call the bottom of the market, I'd call it here. At 40-42p. The only way is up from what I can see. Why would anyone sell now below the open offer (the only drag down on price, and it's done and dusted, which can only be good as far as I can see) unless they were desperate for the cash? The trend is upwards, and can only continue to be so. Happy to be pulled apart though! Bring it on!

Looking at this company over the weekend, I'm finding it hard to understand what the bad news is? I can see a fundraising hit the rise in SP as investors realised they could get shares at a cheaper price, so banked profit. That's fine. The fundraising was successful (in fact over subscribed) and so AGM now has funding for at least two years to cover work necessary to commercialise a pipeline of "119 active engagements which it had at the end of November 2020. Management estimates that this opportunity pipeline, if fully realised, represents annualised revenues of £7.6m, or around £3m if a success-probability factor is applied." Ok, so if we take the lower end estimate of £3M, that's still a very healthy turnover for a £25M company, a leading company, in a sector which has the potential to revolutionise the world in the way the internet has done? So what have I missed? Is this a bargain or what?

TSP - I'd expect closer to 500% on day one if we're starting at 4.3p.

I'm a gardener too Suzy, and yes, gardening is exciting. But this is perhaps more like growing a Puya raimondii.

nezlob - I use Eqi as well as AJ Bell. Similar experience iwth EqI. In addition, some times I can trade a share on Eqi but not on AJ Bell - at exactly the same time and exactly the same share. It's to do with depth of the commission between the platform and the MM. Larger depth (ie a greater % commission) means the price you pay with EqI is marginally more. But in my experience, it's worth it, especially when the price is moving quickly. You get to deal online more times than with AJ Bell. Anyway, I've come here to investigate. Not a holder yet.

Suzy2: I know Asa is a supporter of BEM, so I was hoping you'd write something like "What Asa was talking about was something like this: Many exploration permits don't go to mining permit stage because mining companies don't apply for one. They get the exploration permit, but the economics of the mineral find after exploration suggest to the company it isn't worth their while. Thus TSP's point about it being a trap is perhaps not exactly correct, but there is a 'trap' of sorts. The government basically ****ed up by granting an exploration licence in the first place as they weren't expecting BEM to progress it. The law states that BEM will get the mining permit, and if it doesn't, it'll only be because the government admits it ****ed up in the first place. In which case, considerable damages will need to be awarded to the company, which will ultimately go to shareholders. " Of course, I can only guess the above, but you as the source of the original information will have a better steer.

Suzy2 - I was really wondering if you had any background to the quote. I think you’ve mis read my question. No problem.

Suzy2- I’m interested in your quote of Persson. Im guessing they don’t become mines because it isn’t economic to do so, right? Rather than because the government decides not to give them relevant permits. An obvious point but nice to iron out ambiguity if you can. TSP’s point stands that it’s almost a trap to issue an exploration licence but not a mining permit, right?

3cardbrag - I love your idea about tweeting Greta! Imagine if we had a Greta-approved iron ore mine! Doibt it would work though. She’d either not reply (can’t be seen supporting ANY iron ore mine, least of all one on Sami lands) or reply in the negative. That it’s a bad idea and then you’ve made a rod for your own back. Risk outweighs the benefits so although I still love the idea, it’s far too risky.

I'm not sure we know what Greta thinks about this mine. I believe I read somewhere that there is political support for the mine going ahead precisely because it is not only greener than importing ore, but also for strategic reasons. I believe UNESCO will scratch their heads and reply something along the lines that they are not interested in getting involved as, whilst it is near a world heritage site, it isn't on a world heritage site. It'll go back to the government, but the political hot potato will have remained hot. Thus, as a sensible investor, I would wish a quicker return, and press the board (you don't need to do it here - write them an email) to come up with more imaginative ideas - for example by finding a win/win scenario with the Sami. An open letter isn't enough in my book. And there are mechanisms beyond writing 'an open letter' that are far more effective. The Sami don't want to get egg on their face.

I have to admit I was a little nervous when I bought in - I thought it was too late @7.45, but glad I did now. It's always the case of it feeling expensive at the time, but looking back and either regretting at not buying or feeling glad you did buy. Yep, I can see this going to 10p easily now.

Good luck guys. I bailed after x3 and moved into MXC given their RNS this morning. I'm sure this'll go up in the long run.

KNB may rise, but I think they'll need to start selling some serious product first to justify their valuation. Take a look at their prospectus and their distributors in the UK. I have to admit I just sold KNB for here as this seems a better punt in the short term given this morning RNS. There doesn't seem to be anything like that in the pipeline for KNB as far as I can see.

Aba97832 - I saw others try that strategy of waiting for the retrace Tuesday morning on KNB. The price had shot up to 19p or so. I managed to get in at 15p or so, but others were waiting for it to go sub 10p, closer to the 6.5p offer price. That stuff always happens. It's hard to get it right - hence my hesitancy too, but it seems to be creeping up, so I've jumped in.
