RE: Shares9 Oct 2018 20:11
Ive been investing in STEL for a few years and im another holder with "stuck" NWF shares I cant do anything with (not that I want to sell)
Originally held my STEL shares in lloyds who did let me know they dont support ASX trading when the corporate action was announced. I didnt quite understand what that would mean and figured I would just transfer them out sometime in future......
Now 5 months later my NWF shares are still stuck in my closed Lloyds account, whilst I try to find another platform that can transfer in the NWF shares. There seems to be something not straightforward with the way the shares are held as so far Ive tried; AJB, HL, and ii and all of them start of saying "sure we can transfer in" then when I open an account and try it a few weeks later "sorry we cant accept these shares, please sell and transfer as cash" ....well I would if Lloyds could sell them.
Seems there was no issues if you held STEL and they became NWF and were with the providers that support ASX trading.
So currently looking for another platform that could take a transfer in of my NWF shares. I think the problem is something to do with the legacy (or maybe just different Aussie) system the new shares were issued on and all the UK providers only support the same system.
Can anyone else shed any light as to their understanding of whats going on and know any other brokers to try? maybe an Australian broker perhaps?
TIA
