Closing the graph and riding the storm on this one. got a few days rocky ahead. Set some Limit topups, but while all this news is in the air, might as well sit back and enjoy xmas as much as we can.
once all cleared up the SP will rise and return. Just got to ride the storm.

RE the transmission. i think depends on the use they are looking for however torque is something that's would apply to some of the applications that they "advertised" for the dbx
especially some of the offroad tests

i suppose range is key, tbh for bikes I battle for 100miles anyway so I'm used to clock watching haha, but for a car you need distance and for EV the further you can go the better as 30 mins charging is a pain.

Thats true RE the mercs. just think there is a sweet spot that MB have nailed that needs to be wary of. Expecially as more MB parts are included. but then again you'd still look at it and always see aston.

yea changing gear enjoyment is possibly a biker thing :) I think range will increase over time but there will always be lithium limitations. remember the battery break through a few years ago increasing capacity. the trouble is they have stripped weight soo much already vs capacity. feel the next break through would be either another metal or fluid.
then again. fuel cells are becoming more common and as the world introduces hydrogen more. could actually be a viable solution. id say hybrid but hydrogen uses batteries anyway :)
it would nail the refuel time at least.

Agree also SUV's are generally more "usefull" day to day.
It will be interesting to watch the "blend" with MB platforms, though just need to be careful they don't loose the brand too much, a bit like how you would see a mini as just a BMW now instead of an iconic British brand. One thing Aston always had was their brand.
Without a doubt the luxuary will always be there.

In regards to transmissions i know there was a company other year looking at a 2speed and I think MB were in discussions with them. think it was ZF something, but can remember. there is an article somewhere il dig out.
not sure if this marries up to tech these days but could be a possibility. and direction. especially if they can play with the speed configurations. aka to generate torque instead of speed.

i must admit im in a similar boat but for my bikes. considering an electric rip and ride, just not sure if the lack of rawr will be missed too much (from being combustion) and the satisfaction of the blip before gear & catching that change perfectly.
range never been an issue as they pretty much guzzle fuel anyway haha.

The good old VW monopoly. if I remember right the old rapid got some good reviews (I could be wrong, need to refresh). so I'm sure the try will be beautiful leading to a buy.
correct forgot that the DBX had EV already in mind. part of me does hope they take the sports first but then again if they are redefining image and market audience it would make sense for the DBX.

I think the SUV route would be a sure match.
However it would make sense to optimise an already "ev designed" mid flight project, to test the new tech.

further to my post other day. if they can get their hands on the merc goodies fast enough then using an already ev capable prototype they could possibly release a model this next year. meaning more revenue

Seems they are a pretty reliant and strong sponsor. Interesting choice of sponsor though.

im sure i read somewere on a blog that by 2024 AML stated they wanted 20% of sales to come from electric.
do you think the Rapid E might be resurfaced. or how long until we start to see full electric variation

i think personally we will see a reboot this year. i feel that the suspension might have been in hindsight of the deal. possibly

2 main volitile outcomes on the horizon are brexit and covid recovery. both will have been worked through in great detail i am sure by stroll and the team.
once they have been navigated it should be a more stable recovery line. expecially now that vaccines are available. sales will return. world economy may swing around but that will either not impact or slightly slow the recovery rate over the next year. Q2 results will be interesting point of interest. also future production roadmap with their new found tech*
2020 was turning around the trend. 2021 will very much be setting the pace it drives up the road

Stock splits are neither good nor bad. They also do not govern the future of a SP.
Business strategy and decisions do. conciquently by increasing the SP (not be too much) you increase the audience.
Large investors don't like sub£ stocks. PI's do. £14 is a good level.
people use tesla as an example of splitting to allow new investors... that Is because there SP was in the 1000's. its a different scale.

DYOR all. GL. nothing has changed in business strategy. same share and direction as last week.

im not a ramper. im a realist. both good and bad. i liek the fence but i love facts.

as a business person. you should have already known this imfomation and also know how such a change like that of AML earlier in a year makes a company history redundant to future strategy.

12 years ago infomation in now nearly as relivent to that 10 or 20 years ago. (i know i know. maybe a slighyt exaggeration here)
go pass off as being someone who knows anything about business and how they work run and operate. somewere else.

then you are a terrible business person, expecially to bring comment about future potential but state AML has back against the ropes. 12 months ago, backs were against the ropes, now ropes are being handed down. and the climb back up has been started.

p.s im still waiting for this reasoning why its all soo terrible and gloomy. just saying brexit isnt a reason.. facts. are needed. because thats what us business people actually care about. not opinions
