I think it's just very very difficult assessing the risk profile for FDA folks. Re- assessing the in vivo mutagenic potential of drug that has pre-existing information that there is a mutagenic risk e.g. in silico structural alerts, bacterial mutation (Ames test) positive data. The transgenic mutation assays use rodents engineered with genomically integrated lambda bacteriophage shuttle vectors, which have repressor protein sequences preventing infectious phage formation in certain conditions once extracted from the animal tissue DNA. Mutagenic test chemicals can induce mutation in the repressor protein sequence, which can be selected for using temperature selection conditions following DNA extraction, packaging into bacteriophage & E. coli infection, and growth on agar plates. From these the frequency of mutation can be determined and the risk in vivo and therefore to humans can be assessed.

Who knows what will happen. First stop hopefully, belting SPRINTER result, second stop, news of belting orders from USA, UK and EU with simultaneous RNS of production numbers !!

I'm just hoping that based on the RNS previously, the CEO is true to his statement:

"The proceeds from the fundraising will provide us with the further funding we need for investment in working capital ahead of anticipated order inflow and also enable us to capitalise on new and exciting growth opportunities in our markets.'

Elsol - completely agree. I really believed that the SP would be nearer £5 at this late stage. The only reason I believe it has been held back is the size of the company. All good things come to those who wait.

We have all seen before how this can double within a day on a positive RNS. UK Gov will be under considerable pressure at this moment to support UK biotech and burning money in China. Question and pressure being applied in Commons now. Science Minister is also crying out for Gov to add more support to UK Bio.

Omicron is “probably the most significant threat since the start of the pandemic”, according to Dr Jenny Harries, the head of the UK Health Security Agency.

The concern within government is that a huge surge in cases could overwhelm the NHS.

There have been suggestions the virus cases milder illness. That is certainly logical as reinfection and infections post-vaccination tend to be less serious.

But even if severity is halved, the total number of people needing hospital care will increase if infections more than double.

There is huge uncertainty over how many admissions there will be. Modelling has suggested the peak could be around half what was seen last winter or approaching double.

But even if the Omicron wave does not overwhelm the NHS there is still a wider threat to society as mass illness and isolation could disrupt supply chains and essential services.
