The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
You know full well I have got nothing against the companies, all of them have disruptive technologies, the problem is the CEO of Tern being a control freak and never updating the market.
Being tweeted by Wyld, what an amazing company they have turned out to be, from nothing year after year to mixing with the big boys in satellite, covid tracking and agri IOT, what else have they got up their sleeve and all funded by around £1.57m
Quite amazing the value creation potentially going on

"For terrestrial players, Eutelsat’s potential partners, the inclusion of satellite as a potential upgrade to the standard service may also provide a valuable differentiator, even if it does not drive much additional income."
IoT is a small but valuable contributor to satellite operators’ overall revenue. For example, Iridium generated almost USD100 million in IoT revenue during 2019 – just over 13% of total revenue. In October 2019, the global satellite operator Eutelsat announced the commercial availability of its initial IoT connectivity offering, IoT FIRST. A month earlier, it also confirmed that it was working on ELO, a constellation of up to 25 nanosatellites that will be compatible with existing terrestrial LPWA standards. Eutelsat will earn revenue from the sale of terminals and connectivity for all three services. As with operators of other types of LPWA connectivity, the challenge for Eutelsat will be to generate enough demand to compensate for the relatively low revenue per connection.
What seeds of doubt, don't tell me that you trust anything said on these BBs, the only thing I trust are RNS and even those you sometimes have to take with a pinch of salt, I see InVMA web site down currently so fingers crossed that there will be something new there soon. Still a holder with 3m so am eager to see Tern do well
Yes on this occasion I just can't see it as alot of hype, they do seem to have the right technology for what is required and the right contacts to open the doors. But nothing in the bag and that is always the risk that as its a small private company with just a pilot under its wing that they might not be awarded any contracts. I hope all these tweets isn't just a big tease from Tern or Wyld. What keeps me believing is the sudden explosion in man power, in a major recession you don't increase the headcount unless you are pretty certain of revenue
As a VC investment company listed on AIM they only revalue investments on a corporate event either external funding, listing on a stock exchange or exit so if a company hasn't achieved at least one of those during a reporting period it remains listed on the balance sheet at the previous value. So frustrating for us mere mortal shareholders as you look at the progress of Wyld for example and its on the balance sheet of £78k. Pure bonkers.
On web site but no surprise not to see it on the web site, I bet DA has been sold for $3.5 bn and they wouldn't bother to let us know, biggest frustration with this company

The pros and the cons.
Pro:
the Isle of Wight is a poor area for Wi-Fi and Wyld do not need it to operate.
The comment just tweeted by Tern does say could, but why put such a tweet out on a Sunday?
HMG have declared they are not going to use the Apple/Google App and are developing their own, using the latest technology.
Wyld have stated they are in discussions with NHSX
I know of no other technology that can track & trace in a more sophisticated way than Bluetooth or GPS except Wyld data hopping.
HMG would not wish to leak market sensitive information as to which companies will benefit from the trial until the market itself is instructed to release it.
Wyld are recruiting 5 additional employees in the technical speciality required to deliver the Pp.
No other competition has been identified.
Cons:
There is no RNS currently confirming that Wyld are under contract.
It is strange that none of the technical press have managed to glean what the exact solution is that the NHS is trialling.
The tweet just released by Tern does say ‘could’ and not ‘will’.
The Pros outweigh the Cons
