Despite my criticism of the level of communication from AS, the Nico news is profound in my view. Great find Tyro. For those of you who follow VRS, it ranks with the secondment of 2 Depertment of International Trade principles into support VRS last year. I actually agree with Mike R!! These two heavy hitters would not have joined DA unless they could see massive potential. Perhaps even more importantly, Nico’s appointment as a founder of NCipher, shouts an NCipher DA stake build or acquisition or a 2 stage process to acquisition. I have been somewhat surprised at the unfettered way NCipher have promoted DA in their marketing and today’s appointment may well be the answer why.
are out, increase in NAV of 50% and lots of positives but a lot fewer negatives
No big surprises in the results but am surprised at the NAV gain when everything is valued at fair value valuations.
Does look like DA will be getting a strategic investor at some point this year which will allow Tern to invest in at least one new investment.
Whether the market will like the results is another matter but I thought on the whole they showed great promise

in terms of the multi billion market that DeviceAuthority secures - at the heart of - embedded in the IOT
it's simply a matter of time before cisco or dell pick a large global mega corp buys DA for a few Billion $
sound fanciful?
well then go look at snapchat, a here today, gone tomorrow type company.
DA, here to stay with patented technology, embedded into global corporations products ensuring Data being sent and at rest throughout the IOT is Secure from outside hackers.
Not long before it takes off to triple figures market cap.
FVR is definitely going to be a monster. Ignore the noise.
This is a tweet from Peter Scattergood co-founder of FVR
AAOS is over for another year, but the energy, interest and adoption of our Haptic VR platform is growing fast from this years event, we will be making some great announcements soon based on some really great meetings at the show. It was a pleasure to meet over 140 surgeons and educators and share our haptic VR platform with them. Everyone we spoke with agreed that haptics are the future for meaningful simulation, which is great to hear!

I inquired with Rosa whether that You Tube video meant that there was a launch was coming but its even better than that it is LIVE and no doubt the marketing teams of Gemalto and PTC are busy in promoting it.
You short at your peril on this stock, just one bit of news and it will rocket
"The product is our KeyScaler platform, and this combined solution leveraging our partners' technology is already available. Essentially it is KeyScaler with PTC's ThingWorx platform and Gemalto HSM. An option for securing connected medical devices"
Today, Fundamental Surgery is deployed with a number of medical institutions including Mayo Clinic and UCLA in the US, UCLH in the UK and Sana in Germany with initial training packages focused on the orthopedic surgical disciplines.

HaptX Gloves are one of the most sophisticated haptic devices ever developed. Powered by patented microfluidic technology, each glove houses 130 tactile actuators that press the user’s skin, replicating the sensation of touching a physical object. A force feedback exoskeleton applies up to four pounds of force per finger, enhancing perception of shape and rigidity. Industry-leading motion capture technology tracks the user’s hand movements with sub-millimeter precision. This combination of realistic touch, powerful force, and precise motion tracking delivers the world’s most realistic haptic feedback.
In the first-of-its-kind demonstration, the technology integration of HaptX and FundamentalVR allows surgeons to use their hands naturally in a virtual world. It enables a very detailed interaction with a patient during an Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty, allowing users to feel the presence of boney growth around the rim of hip socket in addition to identifying a key ligament that helps orientate a surgeon in the next few critical steps.
The realistic tactile feedback goes beyond regular simulations and helps develop the muscle memory and skills essential for effective learning. This combined with the educational content and real-time skills and knowledge assessment makes the platform an invaluable training tool.
“The ability to touch and interact naturally with virtual environments is transforming the way industries train workers and bring products to market,” said Jake Rubin, Founder and CEO of HaptX. “The healthcare industry is at the forefront of this shift, and it’s set to be transformed by advancements in VR and haptics. We are delighted to be working with Fundamental Surgery as our first medical partner to demonstrate how HaptX Gloves can make surgical simulations more immersive and effective.”
Today, Fundamental Surgery is deployed with a number of medical institutions including Mayo Clinic and UCLA in the US, UCLH in the UK and Sana in Germany with initial training packages focused on the orthopedic surgical disciplines.
LONDON – March 13th 2019 – Today, FundamentalVR, pioneers of immersive training technology for the medical community, has become even more hands on with a technological showcase of the groundbreaking HaptX Gloves on its Fundamental Surgery platform. Demonstrated for the first time at the annual general meeting of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), FundamentalVR and HaptX are providing a glimpse of the near future where surgeons can use their entire hand and fingers as part of a virtual simulation educational experience.
Named as one of the best inventions of 2018 by Time magazine, the Fundamental Surgery platform was launched in August 2018. It combines virtual reality (VR) with cutting-edge haptics (the sense of touch) to create a scalable ‘flight simulator’ experience for trainee and qualified surgeons, allowing them to experience and navigate the same visuals, sounds and feelings they would during a real surgical procedures.
What sets Fundamental Surgery apart from other solutions, is it is designed to be equipment agnostic, compatible with any laptop, VR headset or haptic device, which today Fundamental showcases with HaptX Gloves combined with a 3DS Haptic arm. At the heart of the Fundamental Surgery system is the unique Surgical Haptic Intelligence EngineTM (SHIETM), which is calibrated to mimic real life sensations of numerous medical tools and tissue variants within a submillimeter accuracy of resistance. The joint initiative with HaptX is a further demonstration of the flexibility of the platform to integrate its haptic sensations and intelligence into third party devices.
Richard Vincent, CEO
“When it comes to surgical training simulations, a sense of touch is a game changer, but has traditionally only been possible with immobile equipment costing hundreds of thousands of dollars,” said Richard Vincent, CEO, FundamentalVR. “The Fundamental Surgery platform delivers highly sophisticated tactile feedback at a fraction of the cost through a software approach that can work with a range of haptic devices. Our platform currently works with haptic arms, but is designed to evolve as hardware innovations allow new products such as HaptX Gloves to come to market. We are proud to work with industry leaders such as HaptX and are excited to demonstrate how HaptX Gloves integrated into our Surgical Haptics Intelligence Engine TM takes the sensation of surgery to an exciting new and natural level.”

Improved configuration, scalability and availability of nShield Connect XC benefits cloud, IoT and blockchain HSM deployments
nCipher Security, the provider of trust, integrity and control for business critical information and applications, announces enhanced remote access to the crypto capabilities delivered by its nShield Connect XC hardware security modules (HSMs). As customers increasingly rely on HSMs to provide a root of trust for their cloud applications, IoT, and blockchain, nShield Connect XC allows them to quickly and easily scale their security capabilities and remotely configure and expand their HSM estates. This reduces downtime, increases efficiency, and eliminates physical data center visits.
Faced with growing demands to protect critical applications and data, control access to that data and secure communications, organizations are increasingly relying on HSMs for trusted encryption and digital signing. According to the 2018 Global Encryption Trends Study, 60% of enterprises have moved to a private cloud, crypto-as-a-service model where HSMs are pooled, often in remote, lights-out data centers, with individual application teams subscribing to their services.
nShield Connect XC’s remote configuration and high availability update allows customers to dynamically scale their security capabilities, incorporating HSM-strength security as a root of trust for many of today’s applications, including PKI, privileged access management, database encryption and TLS/SSL. HSMs can also establish a root of trust for IoT devices and protect blockchain signing keys and consensus logic. Organizations benefiting from this update include those with existing HSM estates deployed across multiple data centers who wish to extend trusted cryptographic services to new applications.
John Grimm, senior director of strategy and business development, nCipher Security says:
“These major enhancements , which build on the nShield Connect XC’s cloud-friendly capabilities, is especially beneficial as more and more organizations seek to scale their crypto capabilities and advance their cloud strategies with HSMs that are proven to deliver trust, integrity, and control. They’re now able to accelerate deployments and maximize availability for business critical applications.”
The nShield Connect XC remote configuration feature will be available in Q2 2019.
