Without going to politics too much, I would rather not see either Labour or the conservatives in their current form in power.

I know this limits the options somewhat, always voted for Tories, couldn't bring myself to do it again without serious change.

I don't or hope they won't change opening hours etc, this is one of their key differentiators from the other banks.

When all else are closed they open .. surely in itself that's a way to grab more customers.

I'm also in Santander and questioning why... Awful mobile app etc.. Only reason I haven't left is it's not really much hassle.

Given I've got a fair bit invested in Metro and believe in them, I'm considering opening an account to help the cause.

Looking at the business it looks sound to me, interest rates are reasonable considering risk associated with their target audience.

I'm amazed how quiet it is on here compared to Metro etc, I've been in on this share since the drop. Hopefully we should see a decent recovery over the next 6 - 12 months.

I haven't been here since Feb, I went in at July.

This has been quite a rough ride but hopefully all the bad news is out and your timing is good, only real things outstanding now are FCA investigation, Brexit (not Metro's fault ) and the issue of paying bond interest each year.

Looking positive though and growing customer numbers.

I don't really have an issue like this, a lot of organisations are doing this type of thing to appeal to the younger generation.

I work in Cyber Security and have seen a massive change in the last 2 - 3 years, when I used to go to the banks everyone would usually be suited up, not most people are in Jeans/Chinos etc. Only exception is if they are front line facing or in Canary wharf.

I'm seeing this across all vertical sectors from retail, there is a definite shift which I think it for the better and the younger generation being a bit more relaxed.

There are some serious salaries in the 20 age group if you have the right skill set, I would also be doing what I could to target them. DOgs buscuits, fans etc. As long as Metro grows we are all good.

I don't even know what this means but sounds good from a technical perspective ;0)

On another note, I read the fool article and I'm amazed at the turn around in their commentary, it's almost as if they sacked the previous person writing stories on Metro.

I use E-Trade as I have an account setup with work for some share options, currently at 12.03%.

Looks to be doing well in the US today, started at 2.55 and now up to 2.87

Positive signs of recovery

Not sure what we will end up but overall today is a positive day for Metro, slight reduction in shorts (that we know of), percentage increase and back to 200+.

I'm happy overall and looked at this being a long game, there was a lot of negative statements about the trading update in the general press. I would rather be holding this then RBS today.

Saying that, I'm using delayed share trades on Metro/HL and not L2 so it's like watching a football match 15 mins behind whilst reading through twitter feeds of the live game

The usual pattern looks to have kicked in again, should probably start to recover again around 2 - 3 if it's like most days.

Hopefully he hasn't done anything silly and is just taking a break

Amazing watching the control here, at least in Cyber security we can usually take out or black hole traffic to stop the botnets

Went into a meeting 3 hours ago and everyone was doing the usual shorters going to burn, ramping etc.

Now all of a sudden everyone is attacking each other. I haven't seen another RNS or bad news yet, I noticed on AVDFN that the metro chat destined into personal attacks to the point it was unusable.

I've always seen a higher level of share talk hear, let's keep it positive
