Agreed, all the articles I have seen especially on fool and thisismoney all highlight the bad bits from the past.

They fail to mention some of the more positive developments, either that or I have rose tinted glasses on.

I can see them on the platforms I use, I've just noticed a lot of people looking at trending etc and see when patterns are going to kick off for Metro and was wondering if I am missing something not having L2

I'm a bit of a geek at heart also.

Think I will look more at the platforms I have before throwing away any more cash.

Btw, before getting started I read the Naked Trader and intelligent Investor books, any other recommended reads?

Quick question, as I'm new to this game and been invested in Metro for a few weeks, I'm starting to see I'm quite far behind when looking at buy/sell etc.

How many private investors have L2? At this stage I'm not looking to become a day trader until I have built more experience.

I've seen the way a lot of people talk about trending etc in Metro throughout the day, is this L2 you are using or Bloomberg Terminal

I think we will see the jump happen if the Q3 results are positive, until then this will carry on very slowly edging up.

That is unless any other bad news comes out.

Good luck all, strapping in for a turbulent day of many ups and downs. Expect the shorters to work their magic around 11 and just after lunch.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens tomorrow, every week the hype is there and starts building, then around 11am and 2pm the Algorithms kick in and smash it down.

Wouldn't be surprised if a branch opening 10 mins late tomorrow impact SP ;o)

Appreciate your views, I'm trying to learn how this all works so it's always good to get other people's views.

I personally have nothing against the shorters, they've seen an opportunity and taken it.

I don't really need the money for a year at least so will leave it Metro dependent on what happens.

£9 would be amazing but happy to get to £4 to start with , I've then recovered my losses in this and a couple of small ones I tried i.e. Aston Martin. Learning a lot about timing and how shorters/algos work with this share.

I was ready to work away with a fairly big loss a week or so but thought screw it, it's lost if I sell and the company looks like it has good fundamentals in my limited experience.

Thing that amazed me is how it dropped from 3.20 to 1.56 when the bond was pulled, further RNS and positive news haven't been able to restore.

The stock manipulations by algos and traders surely should be illegal . Happy for more experienced guys to tell me why otherwise.

What happens if the shorts can't get out? Does the rent on the share keep rising and they have to stay in until they have enough to buy their exit?

Given how rubbish I am at this, I'm going to start shorting tomorrow.

If the plans works as expected, they will shoot up and I will lose lots.

Nope, have a few others as well.

Had a bit of success with Kier and Saga and played with some smaller ones for a while, this is the first time of going larger.

This has been built up over time so I'm in at a fairly decent rate. Highest paid is 2.80 but couldn't resist adding more at 1.59 and 189 recently, anyway I'm learning a lot about with this company.

Got lucky early with some of the others and built a false sense of security .

Being new to this game, this is an emotional roller coaster... I finally thought we had turned the corner yesterday , digging my heels in on this for the long term, have around 30,000 shares here.

The things that amazed me is how all these buys will go through all day and move it up a few points and then a couple of small Algo buys appear to batter it. I'm curious how the shorters and these Algo's are legal when it can potentially damage a company so much, this surely has to be borderline.

I don't have anything personal against them, they've found a very good way of making money.

I also have Amigo, that one has been sat doing nothing for a while. I need some positives today.

Saying that, Metro has done okay considering the RNS, everyone has their own interpretation on whether it's positive or negative. I will take a small drop given the scary drops we have seen recently.

Still, a few hour to go in the day so fingers crossed
