JJ/moniman > fully agree I heard that as well once these deals (Morrisons/Sainburry) are consumed/gone then Tesco could be the last major public listed supermarket in the UK i.e. a mini COSTCO since ASDA was taken private by Wallmart a while back, interesting changes times ahead but UK PLC's are hot sizzlers at the moment from overseas investors now with some clarity following brexit.

Grahams > Boring is definitely the correct word here SP has been going nowhere but sideways for more than 2 years however from a Crytal ball and technical view the weekly price chart is now near on completing an inverted head and shoulders pattern and if the SP clears the 335/350 resistance area then the SP target is 440/450 with the fundamental catalyst being less bleeding and building of AUM and growth potential from ASIA and mainly from China.

onthecoast > Fully agree the Broker recast based on the norm i.e. under normal circumstances etc. However, today's Reopening Warning From Southwest Airlines? as a result of the Delta variant is potentially putting a spanner the weels for the travelling & leisure industry with destinations such as Disney in Florida seeing high levels of cancellations hopefully this is just a pause and not predicting a reversal in the gradual 'reopening' theme across the world

The current volume traded is not even 10% of the average daily volume so any current price movements at this point are rather meaningless do not expect any real price action until after CPI @ 13:30 is off the runway

Jonny > I agree today's Price Action was somewhat muted i.e. stalled/paused here on very thin volume (15% below the daily average) however the double bottom remains in play as long as 65p is not violated.

Also, CTA's including Richard Wykoff may even consider recent SP chart movements as a potential 'Spring'. i.e. close above 1.20 but not violating latest low @ 0.86p making this SP flying supersonic fairly soon.

moniman > Yes the board should/could and would never recommend anything lower than last done i.e Morrisons the large players ie institutions would vote against any such move IMO.

Tesco's sales alone are more than 300% larger and the DY is a whopping 60% higher at 4% compared to 2.5% for Morrisons.

Furthermore, the growth rate of Tesco is currently sitting at 8 % and Morrisons is a negative -3%.

That could attract a like for like valuation in the region of +/- £ 30B compared with a current valuation at +/- £ 18B.

While the dog is chewing over his dinner he thinks the ones that have been kicked out of the running for Morrisons might also reconsider finding a bone elsewhere before returning home empty-handed;-)

Badgernator Yes was aware Amazon had held some talks with Morrisons in the past but guess now they have missed the boat and may have to consider changing the pie for a larger one;-)

Yes ilikehousebuilde it seems the SP has fallen asleep for the past month, it has a great sales growth of 83% compared to RDW 20% ?!

moniman - Agree once the dust settles all the analysts shall be coming out the woodworks and scrambling with their revisions it's a no brainer opportunity at these low valuations.
