They must be wrong about that..."uranium mining was banned even though none existed"....because Aura Energy is seeking compensation from the government because of the ban; so presumably they were awarded an exploitation licence, and spent money looking for it before it was banned. Quite right too, they aught to get their money back.

Eric....how time flies! Gosh! The KU investigation doesn't have to mean anything so far as when will the decision be...but at least we know there is an independent investigation happening and it will be debated in the Riksdag in June, which will be about a year after the last debate when the Government claimed it had the matter in hand. It might all be irrelevant, it might not.

What is likely to be done at this meeting is to discuss a battery of issues that the officials propose to send to the Ministry of Industry. KU will then formally send a question battery for the ministry to which you want answers and formally begins the review after January 30 and lasts throughout the spring.The review result will be presented June 4 and debate in the Riksdag will probably take place June 15.

Is that the article published in October....Linda Ylivainio is obviously the same person as Linda Modig. "MP Linda Modig (C) says that the government's inability to decide on new mines mainly affects her constituency Norrbotten." I hardly think she's going to let this matter rest....and the Centre Party are members of the Government Co-alition.

Looking about the world one sees that both success and failure can be equally as much the products of delusion as it's opposite is whatever you would call it...personally, I can see no alternative to optimism.

While the world's countries are looking at new technology to reverse emissions, part of the solution is here in Sweden. Our country sits on both the know-how and the resources for more sustainable manufacturing. Take the Hybrid project that will produce steel without coal eg. which this summer is expected to run a large pilot plant. Take Northvolt, which builds factories for future battery manufacturing. I want Sweden to take the lead in the transition, together with the business community. Not just because it is the right thing to do but because it is good for Swedish jobs.

Don't forget the KU review...the answer given by the Minister was pretty much his usual answer and he insisted the matter was being treated with due efficiency...the KU committee will have to decide if they agree on that, which is the object of the review. They might come to the same conclusion as us...that the answer is rubbish.

Time to get yourself a new alarm, Mickeytentoes or is it that you just have trouble with counting.

And all that....it's going to be interesting, you have to admit that...but tomorrow I'm sleeping it off.
