Suzy/bunk chill. Both of you are passionate it is clear to see but please agree to disagree.

Nobody fully knows everything that will or won't happen here. I hope for a positive outcome but I am equally petulant and frustrated at times with the years of prevaricating from the Swedish authorities.

Well, yes, FF23 maybe so re compensation. Don't forget the pressure that's building up from Members of the Riksdag, which is surely more effective than pressure from the CEO of a mining company with his own vested interest. And that link posted a few days ago shows that Riksdag members are looking at this as an important matter: Annie Loof (et al) Leader of the Centre Party; Ulf Kristersson (et al) Leader of the Moderate Party and Lars Hjalmered (et al Moderate Party) who is I think Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Trade. The Government could have rejected this application years ago ....instead they've strung us along with false promises and hints that some resolution was to be forthcoming which wasn't true...when they had the option to say No and let the company get on with something else.

FF23...That isn't my understanding of what he said he said. He said he wasn't prepared to wait much longer. The government makes the decision not the civil service and there isn't a government at the moment so it seems reasonable he gives a new cabinet some chance to respond.

Has been given another week to report back to the Speaker on forming a government; ie to Mon 22 Nov....not a walk over then. :-)

FF23 Thanks for the reminder...I haven't thought of an intelligent question yet but I'll try to look in...it'll be good to hear the answers as you say from the horse's mouth, hopefully calm my nerves a bit.

Glad to see Annie Loof's sticking her head above the parapet, I've been wondering where she'd got to.

In that link above, Ulf Kristersson says; "Likewise, the Laver copper mine had to wait several years to get a permit the day before Christmas Eve 2020 announced…". That must be a mistranslation (I've noticed the negative form gets confused from Swedish to English). If you remember, Boliden got the decision on Christmas Eve that their application had been rejected on the grounds that they should have applied for a Natura2000 permit. The Company appealed against it, based on their belief that the Natura2000 permit should be applied for during the Environmental Process...and they won, that is now the case. Sigh !
