Yes, it was envisaged way back wasn't it that the graphite project could help put the lights on at Kallak. And I know the infill drilling is just part of the process for PFS, but results are always exciting and they might just highlight the quality of the deposit.

I think there's a pretty good road there already, it's not as if it's in Africa, plus the Inlandsbanan only 40 km to the East which is due for an upgrade and it's a strategic route for defence purposes. Money will be needed I grant you that

Hello Refinery..The deposit is a very good shape for an open pit, there's abundant water, it can product a market leading product and there's Swedish mining expertise to count on; so it's cup half full at least for me at present and I do like to argue. :-)

Morning All. What I take from that is we're at Stage 3, Stage 4 being production and Stage 5 restoration of the land. And it's an open pit mine...not so much engineering so far as I know and it says every mine is like a diamond, each one is different. Good, ours is very bright and pure. Infill drilling programme should begin soon, it says Autumn in the RNS and Autumn ends on 21 December. And of the 10-20 years... well, we're at least 13 years into that.

Troaj. How long will it take to build this mine? Any idea? I mean surely we don't stop work pending a decision in two years time and I'm presuming the design and planning will be ongoing with some progress to report as it goes along and two years isn't that long if you think about it.

Just imagine that it takes 2.5 million years for the light from the Andromeda Galaxy to reach our eyes. Does that cheer you up a bit. :-)

It is a bit of a wonder why it should take 2 years to decide if the Environmental Application is robust enough to meet the standard required.... used to think it was managed in stages and not a one time decision. And it seems the Court can give leave for an opponent to appeal the decision or not.

I'm looking on it as a milestone, an achievement more than 12 years in the making, 12 years since the day we posted our application to mine. It could have been worse, anyone who thought the Licence wouldn't be granted was wrong. We survived nine years of being ignored by the Government, we're the first Exploration Licence to be granted in more than 12 years. We just have to survive another 2 years waiting for Sweden to give this green steel project a bit more, er... thought.

The consultation process has begun, one more big step.
