The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Not seen this much activity in months and given the present situation it's a bit weird. Are punters pulling out of other stock? or realising that their savings are only attracting 0.001% interest in bank accounts so looking for other places for their money, or are there other factors at play. if there was something about to happen I'd expect much bigger buys than 50'000 given such a low SP. As a long term investor in AYM I'm looking at a breakeven of 4.5p, so on that note lets hope the buys continue and SP rises exponentially.
Any increase in SP is welcome as is the shortage of copper, but ours is still in the ground and looks like staying there for some time yet. Despite the lack of information and continued absence of BOD I to will consider topping up tomorrow in the hope that we will all be rewarded for our patience in the not to distant future.
Decades of inactivity,a major share holder who shows little inclination for a return on their investment,a BOD who do the annual cut and paste report,QME working for a slice of future profits but don't list their involvement with AYM on their website it's starting to look suspicious and gives greater credence to GBs fantasy theory of nuclear waste being dumped in Parys Mountain.Surely economic conditions over the last five decades have been favorable at some point. The last time I checked all the paperwork was in place with the Isle of Anglesey Council for the opening of the mine and the transporting of ore.Am I missing something?
Wasn't aware of the connection,What percentage of shareholders would be required for any motion to be passed. At present I hold Sirius Mineral shares and for the sale to Anglo American to go through it requires 75% in favour.
Apart from Bill & Co are there any other major/institutional shareholders? or are the issued shares held by small shareholders and I suspect a large number of brokers. As for the sale of AYM who would the potential suitors be? Divermike estimates a value of £50m equaling by his estimate 26.73p per share,is this for Parys Mountain or do'es this figure include AYM's interests in LIM and Grangesberg, would LIM/Grangesberg be a separate issue not necessarily of interest to a potential buyout company and if so what if anything would their value be to shareholders.Who would they be of interest to? At 26.73p per share it would be happy days for me, not enough to buy a new motor but I could certainly upgrade from the mountain bike.
Six weeks in to the year , ZILCH,NOTHING are QME still on board?have the BOD all succumbed to radiation sickness from all the waste dumped inside Parys Mountain and therefore no one is in charge. It's beyond a joke now as well as taking the proverbial, even the sages and wise owls who post on here have been remarkably silent of late. Are there any optimists out there or have we all given up?
I to have voted NO, 5.5p is stealing the company not buying it.Given the potential of whats in the ground and the life span of the mine when complete, it's tantamount to giving Sirius away.We know the project is a long way from delivering and that a serious amount of money is required to reach that point but the eventual returns will be far in access of any investment required at this point.Plus given that of late the shares have traded at slightly above Anglo's offer they are actually not giving share holders any premium on the market price of the shares.TOTAL RIP OFF.
For those of you out there with a better understanding of these things than myself, is it not possible for Share Holders to call An Extra Ordinary General Meeting with a view to a vote of no confidence in the BOD. Present situation has now dragged on far to long and present board seem incapable of moving things forward. Just asking.
New BOD required ASAP. Lets have this show on the road,we know what's in the ground and there appears to be lots of it.Parys Mountain would provide much needed employment for the Island of Anglesey but yet again it's more studies,if they don't know by now whats there and in what quantities then what have all previous studies achieved? If you ask a scientist to do research and he keeps coming back with the same answer then it's reasonable to believe he's on to something. At the end of the day QME are not doing this for nothing so what's in it for them? surely they'ed want a quick return on their initial outlay as the continuing cost cannot be carried by them indefinitely.
Happy New Year to one and all
There is a very expensive TBM two miles into a twenty three mile tunnel,it can't come backwards. This project has so much potential that it's completion is not in doubt. The doubt is who will complete it? The worst case scenario would see the banks take control therefore wiping out us shareholders, the more likelihood is another rights issue? or a take over but such speculation on BB like this are not doing the company any favours.I have a reasonable holding which like most is in negative territory at the moment so I'll sit it out.
