markets are not just buys9 Aug 2018 01:17
and sells =an sp...the workings of he mkt are far more complex and just look at the volume of sells over the past 6-8 months, how much stock has been churned ? a huge amount, more than pi's would typically hold between us, on the number off loaded we'd have no pi's hoding now, lol ...and SML actually appears to have a very firm pi base, so who is 'churning' shares ? who stands to make money from a drop, who could hedge a position of such numbers over such a time frame and clearly all major holders have retained all stock as there have been no tr1's with a single reduced holding....
At anytime on a liquid share there is always money to be made on either a short or long position and with third party acoounts and split holdings a declaration would not need to be made either, and depending on the size of any short it could equally be done under any threshold on current volumes imo...rather than look to the BOD for sp support , it may be of benefit and provide confidence to current holders to look at the bigger trading strategies that ensure money is being made for 'someone' who is happy for a low sp for a period,
If I held many shares at a higher sp than current price say just under 1.9p, would/could I benefit from a short position ? if i had no intention of selling,my entire holding at less than 1.9p clearly I would be better taking a short position following the LC deal , as an example, their have been other 'points', ahead of news flow later in 2018 and with the additional shares available to the market a shrewd move for someone with foresight ,,
Equally if I had a very large holding I would not want to cash my shares in as I would lower the sp as I sold each batch, the law of diminishing returns. I could hold my shares make money on the drop (short) and release part of my holding at lower price than 1.9p going forward, much as I woud like higher, I can still be in healthy profit even selling at original or a lower price than i initially recieved them at.
I could be totally wrong and we pi's have been buying and selling our shares two or three fold over the past few months buying high and selling lower, to me that seems an unlikely scenario, to me it is a plain and simple short position, hedged with large holdings (always hedge a large position) and mm moves and price action all suggest the same and to support the position we will no doubt have the occasional poster promoting doubt , it happens, it's aim and money to be made, don't imagine it's all fair play, some posters will be disingenuous, and hard to detect, amongst the genuine concern etc.
The general 'market view' is not as sophisticated as taking a mid or long term view, of a share it's short term and turns on a sixpence (to use old coinage) sentiment changes in a nano second and the only way for any pi's caught in a short play is to hold or buy, no other option exists as we do not know there target prices.
it's lat,, that's my take hang in there ;-)
