Would I vote for or against Sidaras 35p offer. Given I would be in profit, and it would secure jobs, provide certainty etc. I would probably vote in favour...I am not a holder of old....and I would not be surprised if offer is rejected...BUT...we dont have a clue about the impact of Deloitte review and the restatement of accounts. We are told Wood faces a cash crisis in 2025, but sale of assets could cover that...can you believe everything we have been told? The BOD needs to go.

Pay their total investment of about 85p per share, and refinance the debt...why a capital injection if debt can be serviced. The issue must be historic covenant breaches...but even then WH has nor defaulted on payments, and as far as I can see is unlikely to do so given the cash flow. Their capacity to borrow seems as if it has been impacted...but we dont have information on degree- the BOD have intimated by their weakness that the degree is substantial.

Bearded, negotiation is on-going, lets wait and see how it ends, though the BOD have not left themselves bargaining strength/power.

I have thought for a few week...what could debt holders recover is WG were forced into bankruptcy. They have intangible assets, nothing that is solid that can be claimed, mostly goodwill, which would be worth little if WG staff exited and clients withdrew due to uncertainty...Conclusion, does not suit debt holders to withdraw debt facilities if they have discretion.

Soundman. Plenty has been posted here about the Wood Group. They seem to have issues surrounding their debt covenants. However they have a world class organization, world class clients and a 6bn order book. Change to address legacy issues has been instigated, but seems events (impacting debt) could overtake them...

Jen re Sidara. I think you give Sidara too much credit, and say too little about why the wood group allowed themselves to be so weakened (not just AMEC- they did not construct the culture)

I bought more today. Ready to buy more on 30th April (if the price is right). 35p would give me a satisfactory profit (expected more), and allow me to but back more Rio and EEE shares. I take a risk that Sidara do not lower bid nor pull out, and Wood is unable to navigate the turbulence (the bod dont inspire confidence, and there seems a deep seated problem in the projects division).

Jen, I see what you are saying, and i agree...no need to use stereotypes/tropes. Sidara are a business outfit, clearly more canny than woods bod.

If sidara given extension into suspension on april 30th, and have not made firm offer (and nothing changes) may well be able to pick up shares in high teens/low 20's. I dont mean to de-ramp, but the BOD has really screwed up.
