I wonder if issues like the above are the source of woods problems

Bearded, selling/buying back could be risky, because a 4 day break, from news of Sidaras possible initial bid may flush out potential interested parties. I would look to see how the main shorts move. I believe the likes of MW have connections and tentacles all over the place (networks)...they will move fast. But hey i stay put, with aim of potentially adding depending on what i see happening. Surely cfds (leveraged/not), dont affect the share price since the asset is not owned, therefore not bought and sold. I imagine whoever takes the 'bet' might try and influence price by buying and selling...but hey...i dont know the workings inside the belly of the monster.

Captain. I agree with you about the bod. What i am unconvinced about if the 'false info' part. I dont think we know enough yet. I have previously reported on the definition of revenue and when it can be accounted for. It seems to me entirely plausible, to me, that revenue entries were not revisited to be reconciled with payments...but hey i am no accountant. I do look forward to finding out what happened, and how these large corporates 'play' with accounts/accounting conventions...

Bearded, certainly good news $11m, not to be sniffed at, but also symbolically good. Nevertheless, while we know the order is desirable, i am not convinced it is large enough in the aggregate scale that wood operates in, to be sufficient to change current events.

Aimmaster why aren't all the II's exiting? I make the assumption (rightly/wrongly) that they have their 'ears' closer to the 'action'- they know infinitely more than we do.

I have no need to hide my position, nor laught at other peoples losses, nor wish anybody but best wishes if they buy in lower than me...keep up the solidarity...practicing goodwill makes for a happy life. Being honest is crucial for well being, self esteem, integrity and positive self identity. Each to their own, i am too old for any other nonsense.

35p would be a tidy profit, plust i would be able to pick up rio cheaper, and some others for the long term eg glen, bhp, abf, hopefully kod.

So far 22.97, 24.3, 26.2, 39.3...average about 28/29. To restore my other shares i sold and break even...about 27p (+rio down 15% from my selling price, eee down 7.5%- i was making some 35% on eee)

Stew, sp would only go up if bid rejected, and sidara re bid or there is/are competitive bids. I think any of these possibilities will be played out post April 30 suspension. I agree that actors may not want to hold into suspension...i have cash ready to try and take advantage of what i think will be a volatile period up to a week on wed?

Use of words conveying predictive certainties/offerring advice serve neither the case of those negative nor positive on wg. More qualified use of language is inviting reader consideration. Ramping/deramping certainties add nothing, and put potential purchasers off from reading further and evaluating.

Re english and verbs...if so bad perhaps we need more migrants who know how to speak the language correctly, like my ex chinese Malaysian architect wife...
