RE: Maiden Dividend28 May 2018 13:32
Although obviously I would welcome a dividend I wouldn't hold your breath on that score. I get the impression that RPs warrants are an insurance policy just in case one of the big boys tried a sneaky takeover. I had a beer with Eric Boyle the other day and I have to say, he was more buoyant than hes been in a long time (although a bit sick of *****y emails from ****ed off shareholders!). On the cash front, yes with have the money from True and the money from the first two wells (I cant remember if it was up to end off April or end of May before it switches over to 7.5% moving forward. I did mention that I thought we were getting stiffed on the True deal, but as he pointed out, oil companies dont tend to carry insurance, so had anything gone wrong during the first two wells, it could have been game over for minnows like HNR. Fortunately it didnt, and hopefully in the not too distant future we will have eight producing wells and no production overheads. True is a multi billion dollar corporation, thus the not carrying insurance is less of an issue. On the cash point, yes we got a heap of cash, but were burning through it at an impressive rate. I bet Cully was on a decent package bearing in mind his experience, but the impression thatIve always had from conversations with him is that hes a smart, ambitious guy. He was running the show in London recently and I feel that he wants to run his own company moving forward, but who knows? Hopefully were on the cusp of something big, and yes, whilst weve heard that before, the progress that the company has made over the last three years is truly remarkable. At the recent presentation in London, I asked the director from one company how long hed worked there. He said 20 years. In all that time theyd produced no oil. Then Highlands presented next and destroyed all the companies that had already presented. Anyway, have faith guys, this may drop by a few more pence but I reckon by the end of this year will be several times higher than our currant SP.
